I had a browse through and couldnt see if you had mentioned whether the CPU was 64bit or not...??

Is the CPU def 64 bit?? Installing a 64bit OS onto a 32bit system isnt going to work obv.

plus 99.99% cpu's can run 64x os

Woah slow down mate, no need to get offensive. Nearly all cpu's can run both 32 and 64 bit windows.

I'd try an OS reinstall (including slow format of the C and see if the problem persists.

did you use the original vista disc? or a scabby torrent ISO download as these can sometimes have missing files and cause a ****e install of vista, im only asking a question soo dont act silly

it's a copy of an original vista ultimate 64x dvd

that definatley can be a problem as burning procedues can corrupt certain files or just completely skip them unless you burnt the disc at x4

Its not illegal to copy them...I thought that as long as you have the origional, you can make backups. I think it will revert to if you have a legal key then all is kewl.

I'm not a grumpy pirate!!! i'm using legal window vista msdn edition that i got from school and it's 100% legal couse my school paid for it.
