we know the problem is not in hdd or vga card i think it's mobo ho's cosing the problem he thinks it's ram.

so what can you say based on the screen???

Your not overclocking the processor or RAM are you? Check the timings on the RAM and set them to the manufacturers settings. Try resetting the CMOS (there will be a jumper on the board).

wel i allready did that and there was no change . i'm gona try new ram modules.

He means that because your RAM is bad, even if you fix the Page_Fault error, you'll soon have "IRQ NOT LESS THAN OR EQUAL" which is the most common bsod message in the world and is always RAM related.

Get new RAM, problem solved.

clfs.sys is relatived to windows common logging.

A repair of the install should fix it. It could be that a log file is corrupted or summit.

PAGE_FAULT is generally a memory problem. However, unless ur in some weird server environment, u shouldn't get the NONPAGED_AREA bit with a memory issue. Sometime a 64bit app trying to run in a 32bit environment might bring it.

My guess is the memory is ok. Just Vista is screwed and preventing the logging process.

Bsod

Hi :)

I think its as Rasta has said, this error looks more like a corrupt file than faulty hardware. Try booting into safe mode and then typing MSCONFIG into the run command, uncheck everything in the Startup list, then try to see if you can boot normally.

If you can not get into Safe mode then I am afraid a reinstall will probably be your best way forward.

Good luck

Error

Sorry I did not see the text between the pictures saying that you were trying to install Vista and it crashed.

Does it crash at the same point each time?

It looks like a corrupt install but seems weird that it crashes with the same error message when trying to reinstall.

I would definately try it with different RAM and see what results you get, also might be worth trying another o/s disk as well, just incase.

You could also try running memtest on the memory to see if you get any errors

Good luck :)

yeah i get the crashes always at the same point problem is it doesn't matter if i'm starting up from hdd or dvd it is always at the end of loading screen (with the loading baar)

Error

Seems strange as that does not sound like a memory issue. Have you tried a barebones install as well with just the basics connected?

Try using just the psu, cpu, gcard, HDD and 1stick of known working memory outside the case and see if that boots, if it doesnt then i would try changing the parts for known working ones to see if u can isolate the problem.

If it does boot from barebones then it must be other hardware that you have added.

Sorry that I can not be of much help but a problem like this usually has to be solved by ruling everything else out.

Good luck again lol

wel i fixed that pc, i put my own ram that i ript out off my pc and tried to install vista and what happens the same lame ****. so i had xp pro cd in my bag and i thot a well it can't hurt, out cd in and it works i installed xp without any problem so i tried again installing xp but then with a ram that was before in that pc and it workt .

now i can't understand what was the problem was it ram? mobo?cpu?? or vista self (probably vista self )

So THNX you all for the help.

An OS can do that m8.

It's doesn't necessarily need to be Vista, it can happen to any of them.

Chances are, as XP seems to be ok, that if u reinstalled Vista, it'd probably work fine.

It could be a piece of software/util that u either used or tried that messed things up. Invariably the OS will do it itself, it does happen.

Similar Issue

I had a similar issue recently with Win7 and thought it was a hardware issue.

On a freinds dated PC I installed 2gb of RAM and tried to install win7 but it would get to the point of install where it was extracting the files and would just sit at 0%, I tried this several times but thought it must be a hardware issue as the same happended each time.

Chucked an XP install disk in and it loaded on straight away and is working as sweet as a nut!!

Least your freind is up and running now and its just gonna be one of those irritating puzzles u never really solve :(

Welcome to the wacky wonderful world of windows :)
