Need For Speed: Shift Comp?

It depends on what you are looking for,grid is a out and out arcade racer,but shift tries to be more sim like(but fails 90% of the time).
There are a lot more mods available for shift than grid(there are some lovely visual mods).
I am now going to mod this till it bleeds
Just got a few mods to improve the sound,visuals,handling O and I know how to get the ferrari pack working on the PC(seeing as EA wont release it direct)

My first try after about four or five months away was a 8:29, so im not far off, but every other try just gave me the same time! I did three laps and all three were 8:29! I think I can gain a lot of time in the middle/end of the lap, the beginning of the lap is where I am quickest, because its the bit you drive the most! Only just started using a controller too so I need to get used to that. I'll give it another go in the morning.
Also, what settings are you using for handling and what not? like in game ones, I think mine are set to medium with some stuff turned off because I didnt like it.

Well I have to reinstall the game now as a couple of mods I installed screwed up my files
In other news I took an RS4 on the ring and even with going into the barriers a few times and even a full 360 spin at the end of the long straight I still managed to whoop that TT time.
We need to have one of those Google spreadsheet thingymabobs in a proper thread with Peoples times,then we can start adding cars and tiers and tracks easier,who wants to do it

The demo runs bad compared to the game itself,and be thankful you dont have an ATI card,this game hates ATI!Your rig passes the min specs(just)maybe you should put a bit of an O/C on and see what happens?
Maybe you could try the whiteout mod(see if it will work with the demo) it removes a lot of the extra junk at the side of the tracks,like people and those useless choppers that fly overhead,things like that.
In other news I haz a new driver in my car,now I am unstoppable

How are you recording the replays? And my computer, even after countless reinstalls of windows over the years, won't take a screenshot for me, so i have to take a photo of the time and post it up, which takes longer and requires me to find a cable. Effort.

I raise you about four tenths Nepas. I'm sure I can go faster because I went off a few times and at first I thought it was slow lol.

I use FRAPS for the replays and also for the screenshots,but be aware that if you record the replay with fraps you will have a huge file(1 Lap of the Ring works out to around 14-15gig)

I have now fixed my stuttering problems in the replays as well,I have added the tv camera mod and the sunlight mod,so now it looks better and seems smoother,However my first lap after using the sunshine mod was poor,as it made such a difference to how it looked I didnt recognise the track

This was a bad lap as well I hit the barriers 2 or 3 times as well,and between the karussel and the mini karussel I made up some big time somehow.Looks like the stig did not want to be second!

Also, I will do a lap on spa and laguna seca with the same car. Then maybe a change of car?
