have started doing research on my new SB build before Intel recalled the CPU.

Now,I will buy the stuff immediately after the new mobos becomes available....here are my partial choices.

1.CPU Sandy Bridge 2500k, 2500k is much better than 2600k bucks/performance wise if you do not do a lot of graphics editing.

230 bucks

2.mobo(need advice) now considering Sabertooth P67,I am not a fan of graphics BIOS but that is a bonus....anyone has good experience on Gigabyte P67 boards, how about their feature?? I do not care blue-tooth and ROG stuff and I only want the best craftship and best pratical feature(like two 16* channels, becasue I will do 2-way SLI on board),so no way I will consider ASUS Maximus.

230 bucks

3.RAM Ripjaws X 8/8/8/21 decided 4gb*2

130 bucks

4.Cooler Noctua-D14 any disagreement????absolutely no( only con of it is the color scheme, wish it is black)

90 bucks

5.Video Cards EVGA GTX570 HD *2( I will buy KR models because it is 35 bucks cheaper each and I think 3-year warranty is sufficient, how is your opinion??)

660 bucks with rebate

6.Storage

SSD Intel 510 120gb( will be available soon)

280bucks

HDD Western Digital Black 7200rpm 500gb( it is stable according to reviews on Newegg)

60bucks

7.PSU

Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold series 1000w

lowest price is 207 on amazon???anyone know where I can find a better price??

207 bucks

8.Case

Lian LI PC-P50-WB

awesome mid tower case,no reason to argue!!!!!!

195 bucks

9.Moniter

Dell Ultrasharp U2410

got a great refurbished one on Ebay for 320 bucks.

320 bucks

about 2500 in the end, really need advice on Mobo!!!!!welcome to any reply

CPU is good, memory is good, everything else is good. But along with other ppl around here I would suggest Corsair PSU can't go wrong with them and most have a 7 yr warranty. Also for the SSD Kingston v+100 is good stuff. As far as mb I would suggest the Gigabyte UD7, other than the MSI Big Bang Marshall its the only one that has two pcie slots running at x16. Also Gigabyte makes really good quality boards imho. My Fav mb companies are Asus and Gigabyte so one or the other usually has the best boards

The x16x16 boards are a rarity on p67 so there isn’t much to think about ud7, maximus extreme, ws revolution, marshall and I think that is that.

The Gigabyte Ud7, MSI Marshall and the Revolution boards do support x16 x16

The Asus Maximus IV Extreme does not support x16 x16 which is sad that the revo does but the rog doesn't. It has a weird setup PCIe(single @x16, dual @x8, triple @x8, x16, x16 ) . I has 3 pcie x16 slots, only way 2 run at x16 is to have all three populated.
