My i7 rig (first build)

Looks like a nice rig mate, I just had one built pretty much the same as that, its being reviewed at the moment.

I even have the same monitor apart from mine is the T220 :p

Looks sweet.

That is a nice looking rig, and thats alot of games you have there btw how does the 360 pad work with PC games i want to get one but not sure of how it would play...

Xbox 360 controller is easily THE best controller for PC. Easy to install easy to use and almost every game supports it. :)

Very nice setup by the way, Binman88.

Sorry for the late reply guys.

Nice rig mate! even as your first! well done :)

Post some new pics once you have done some more cable management :)

I tidied the bulk at the bottom of the case a bit better and tightened some of the other looser cables. Still a few unsightly cables there at the bottom but it seemed to be the best compromise.

Also have added a side fan, so at the moment I have to use that molex connector you see popping out as well.

Am I right in thinking a gixxer on the screen?

You are indeed :P

What's the monitor like for stuff like gaming and graphic/photo editing? (photoshop etc)

:D

Once calibrated it's great for gaming. With Magicolor enabled, games look a lot more fittingly vibrant and saturated - though enabling this would really depend on taste.

I find it fine for general editing needs - with Magicolor off of course. The colours seem fine to me, though I wouldn't be the most discerning person when it comes to professional colour standards.

Exactly like Toxcity said, it will work with pretty much everything (where applicable, Games for Windows games fully support it) so cuts out a lot of hassle.

Nice looking rig there :)

Now thats just screaming out to be watercooled.

Bet she sounds like a jump jet taking off when the two gtx280's rev up.

I had to get mine underwater asap.

Congrats on the neat and tidy build. :yumyum:

A jet would be an accurate comparison all right!

When I'm not gaming the system is very quiet with all the fans turned down, but I'm certainly considering watercooling in the future.

Seriously nice rig, i should be upgrading to the i7 920 soon i can't wait! Quick qustion though, i also have that monitor. But trying to set it to HD is a mission. I have the BFG 9800 GTX+ OC card and it supports full HD output through DVI. But as soon as i set it to 1080P the monitor says it doesnt support that, 720p works but looks terrible everything is very unclear. Just wondering how you got round the issues? How do you have it set up?

help would be great!
