First time ive opened my gpu's. Wasnt that mutch dust on the heatsink. I thought it would be mutch more :-)

Clean off the old thermal paste and going to apply some mx3. The shrouds and fan will be modded now. I think il make them black and maybe a toutch of gold.

Ive sold my mobo and cpu today so its a good time for modding these gpu's. Hoping i get the new system with the 2500k up and runing on saturday.

Removed stickers, sanded and first coat of primer. Oh and i had to use glue remover fluids because of the damm stickers.

Thanks :-)

Its nice to get these good feedbacks. It fuels me with energy to proceed.

Ive started on second card. Those stickers are a real pain to remove. The top is like a clear plastic laminate, and after you take that off the picture and all the glue sticks to the shroud. Used alot of glue removing fluids to clean these cards.

Had a minor accident tonight. The shroud fell down on the ground from second floor. Luckely the card didnt get scratched up. I was going to primer paint it when it happend :-)

My psu for my lan rigg arrived today, and im also picking up some nice components tomorrow for a client build. I also have 3 x nightshift coming up, so i will probably continue with the project after the weekend. Il build that machine for my colleague first.

Defo not. The glue binds to it like ribena welchs purple grape juice on a white cotton shirt ive used a hair drier and fairy liquid before heat pull wipe heat pull wipe and so on and so on
