My first WC rig

Ok I'm not the most patient man in the world so I ask you, do you think it would be possible to use my 360 phobya g-changer rad with my laing D5 pump on my i7 2700k, a single GTX 680 and my two RAMs ??

If so I might not need to wait all that time if I will be able to sell my kevlar west soon or if I find something else to sell...

Personally I just wouldn't cool the RAM. It's not necessary these days is it?

Otherwise the D5 is probably fine with that.

I wouldn't expect the RAM to produce much heat at all so it won't add much to the cooling loop. Yes a 360x60 can cool a cpu and 680 but it's not the most quiet of setups.

The RAM cooling is just for the looks and will look nice when I get some real fittings for it. I will just use the rad I have for now and buy the block next month then. Thanks for the answer

But what's so loud about it?

Thanks for that info

I don't know what it is but I really like the look on the bitspower fittings. Sure they look chunky but personally I think that looks good

They are a bit expensive but I've learned that you're never supposed to save on computer parts because in the end you are really spending more

I've narrowed my shopping cart down from 900 euros to 240 euros so I can just add the GPU to my previous loop

Will just have to make the other things wait for some time...

Well one rad will have to have the fans spinning faster for the same temps.

My case is almost silent now with the fans on the lowest speed and @4.8GHz 1.4v and 58°C max but I don't get any real noise if I turn them all up so I think it won't be a problem for 2 months or so. My GTX 680 is louder then everything else in my case

Yea, that's what I mean - the fans will have to go up when you put the 680 under water which is why I'd recommend increasing the radiator real estate

I'm going to get the phobya xtreme nova but I can't afford it for the next 2 months but would it make any difference to have the phobya g-changer in that same loop? Isn't that just overkill for a CPU and a GPU ?

That rad is a boss. You can always try and see if it can efficiently cool everything you want. If it doesn't work, then just return to the setup you had before. That is what I would do personally. 'Stock' graphics card coolers make a hell of a racket.

Thanks guys. I personally think It's great work after only 5 months of that hobby. Always liked computers until I was 12 when I got a new hobby and almost drowned in it so I decided to go back to these things after 14 years of nerd hibernation

Just a little update. My friend sent me some sleeving so I was able to sleeve those white cables. My first time sleeving so might not be the best job...

That is a pretty good sleeving job, but it looks like the sleeving is slightly too wide?

That may be but it's over two wires and the other size was probably the right one but so hard to get over the metal on the ends of the wires

I also got a small package in the mail from highflow and did a little upgrade on the squished tubing. I got a little water on the mobo and dried it off with paper towels and with a hairdryer set to lowast heat about 35°C (good or bad idea? At least it worked) and then I bleed it and leak tested it for 3 and a 1/2 hours.

Next update will be the beginning of next month when I get more fittings and a water block for the GPU

Looking pretty swish, very good job. Can't wait to see that 680 under water. Those right angle fitting also look VERY VERY good!

I am surprised how good they look and my loop just got way prettier just by adding those fittings

I just can't wait to get some money to order the rest of the compression fittings and the waterblock...

Just a little update. The weather was so nice out so I decided to go out and paint the fan grill in the bottom of my case and clean the mess that was in the bottom as well
