MP3 Trimming/music editor

im after some software preferable low cost, that can chop music up & make into smaller tracks or vice versa?

im looking for low cost but high cost solutions are also welcomed

Dont know if this is what you're looking for but only one springs to mind that i used once... Audacity?

Its free so i dont know if its any good for what you want to do with it.

Had it crash and corrupt alot a few versions ago. I lost 3 hours work of audio which I was working on for a freind's dub of some anime when it decided to crash while saving.

Its not been that bad recently tbh.
