Mouse advice needed

*Warning, some context of the problem: Skip to the bottom for TL;DR version*

I find myself in a little bit of bother. My mouse works flawlessly, but, using it in a fast paced fps game of sorts has shone on its one weakness. Its very accurate but simply put just too slow [at max DPI/performance] and I find myself having to drag the mouse around constantly getting it across the screen.

The mouse in question is the Logitech G602 wireless. Its amazing for all the applications I use and most of the games I play (namely X-com, Civ, Shadowrun, S2TW). The past week however, looking over my steam/game titles I've purchased during sales mainly, I have a great many fps titles (SP) that I find myself wanting to play! Games like Metro 2033/LL, AvP, Crysis 3 and so on.

I use a claw grip instinctively. The G602 doesn't lend itself well to that so I've gotten accustomed to what I could only dub as 'lazy claw grip', a sort of hybrid claw/palm. For twitch/reactionary fps games I found myself going straight back to claw. And so my problem is compounded further. Its both uncomfortable (just for fps), slow and resulting in some frustration. I need a fps mouse that works with a claw grip and a high dpi so I don't have to move the mouse much or at all.

I'm currently looking at:

Roccat Kone XTD

Razer Orochi Elite

Razer Ouroboros

I've noticed SteelSeries are bringing out a Sensei wireless mouse. Has anyone that has used a sensei mouse say its good for a claw grip user?

Your advice will be greatly appreciated, any other mice you think would be better for my needs please do share :)

Thanks!

edit: I'm a righty!

TL;DR version.

-Right handed
-Need a high DPI claw grip mouse
-Wireless, wired or both
-Works well on Roccat Alumic mouse surface
-Doesn't require to drag the mouse about the place (mouse mat)
-Slight leaning towards a black/dark mouse with little to no colour accents. But not essential.
-Mainly used for Singleplayer FPS games i.e. Metro 2033.
-Not overly pricey but if it's worth it then so be it.

Easily the Razer Ouroboros as the option of new mouse, although I'd personally recommend something else as this is really pricey an I think it's a little weighty.

I'd recommend the Razer Deathadder 2013, also DPi is a complete an utter marketing con. DPI is basically the resolution of the image x refresh rate per second so if it's really high DPi then it'll will defiantly perform worse, especially if you have a weak CPU.

I use a 800 Dpi mouse and it's absolutely perfect, because it's the refresh rate that counts, mine is 1000hz response time. Try turning the DPi down first it might help.

You don't mention if you're right or left handed, or indeed ambidextrous :).

I've always used a Logitech Performance MX wireless mouse, but I grew fed up of my pinkie finger dragging on the mouse mat and wanted a wired mouse after experiencing a friends system.

I opted for the Qpad 5K Laser Gaming Mouse. It's pretty comfortable with it's groove for the pinkie, and light. Some folk find the lightness an issue, but I like it. It has a switch on the top to quickly alternate DPI settings. It's not cheap at £50 though.

I love my Corsair M65

Cool :) Wouldn't happen to use a claw grip do you? The mouse does look good I have to say.

Gosh slipped my mind, I am a righty and not ambidextrous as much as I would like to be. The mouse you mention looks promising, I'd like to know what grip you use and how the mouse feels during fps gaming if you could give the details. I do have a concern how wide it is, especially on the right side just looks a tad too much for a claw grip. I can definitely relate to you preferring wired if your moving the mouse about constantly, I get to a point where my hand is awkwardly facing nearly towards the darn keyboard (playing fps games)

I've tried it all on the G602 and I just can't get it to the responsiveness I'd like for FPS games and my preferred mouse grip. The only 'sort of' way to solve the issue was to decrease the polling rate weirdly (max DPI, lower made it worse), making it appear to be more responsive. But accuracy went down the toilet and felt like I had turned on mouse acceleration.

I'll research into the deathadder 2013 since it does look nifty! Also do you own an Ouroboros? I would like to know if you use a claw grip with it should you own it since you didn't say what you used. I suppose the DPI setting in and of itself isn't that important like you state more so wanting a mouse that works great with a claw grip, don't have to drag it about the mouse pad much or at all and looks good/performs good.

This mouse wont replace the g602 but be used for FPS games and as a backup.

Thanks for your advice all, definitely look into the mice suggested some more, hopefully find one soon!

Any of the roccat Kone series, personally the pure is best, the size lends itself well to claw grip, but it's still pretty comfortable for semi-lazy palm/claw hybrid.

I would avoid razor (personally), unless you want to buy another one in a few months because it's broken :P I find they're too big anyway.

I've had an original Kone, which was nice for palm as it's a larger mouse, but have now moved over to Kone Pure (colour) as they're smaller and I like the notched scrollwheel.

Note: the white one is very slick/smooth the others have a kind of silk-touch finish, both have their uses but i prefer the white personally.

Loads of dpi customisation and stuff in the software as well :)
