Best affordable 1000 watt PSU

Hi all,

So i'm looking around for a new PSU in the 1000 watt range for when i eventually get an RTX4090.
I've been trying to decide between an Asus strix and the Seasonic Focus gx-1000.
I currently have an old Corsair AX860i, used with a set of Cablemod cables.

One thing of note with my current / old PSU is that when shutting down my PC there is a faint high pitched whine coming from the PSU, which bothers me. Putting the computer to sleep is fine though.

So what do we all think?

Seasonic hands down bar none it's that simple unless you can check a brand on oem model, but being really honest I'd not touch anything Asus ever again from my own experience and the current warranty experience many are having just not right.

They are both made by Seasonic so whichever one you can get cheaper. Simples.

Essentially what Alien said, Seasonic is basically one of the founding pioneers within the PSU industry.

Or Seasonic's because that comes with the 16 pin 12vhpwr cable.
