monitor advice

Im looking to get a new main screen, and since i have a bit of funds this time i want something that ticks most (or all) boxes.
Atm i have my eyes on a specific monitor, but i'll keep that as a secret to avoid mudding your opinions, at least for now.

It will be used both for gaming aswell as photoediting, so if possible it should have the following properties:

high resolution
high refresh rate
high colour accuracy
high colour gamut

and since space is limited id prefer it to be arond 27"

budget is ~1000£

I know its a tall order, but hopefully you guys and gals have some ideas.

just ignore the specs in my sig, im building a new pc when zen3 lands aswell, so it will have the power to play in most resolutions

If I were in the market for a 27" monitor I'd be looking at LG's Nano IPS monitors, Specifically the 27GL850-B, £500 and you have a nice chunk of change to spare.

• Nano IPS 1ms response time
• 27” QHD (2560 x 1440) Nano IPS Display
• NVIDIA® G-SYNC® Compatible
• Adaptive-Sync (FreeSyncTM)
• 144Hz refresh rate
• HDR 10 - 98% DCI-P3

Wait til the end of the year, there are a lot of new monitors coming out, plenty of 240HZ 1440P IPS/VA monitors that'll have newer better panels. Likely to cause a price drop of older monitors too.

If you need to get a monitor now I second the LG.

Also, once the initial teething errors are ironed out the Samsung G7 is a very good choice.

I'm not in a great hurry, but i have been looking a fair bit at Acer ConceptD CP3271K aswell as the 27GL850.
The 4k res and the 384 dimming zones of the acer is alluring...

It seems that the 32" model is troubled, but 27" is just fine. Had one for a while now, loving it and would buy it over the suggested LG hands down, but the curve isn't for everyone.

For the 4K HDR monitors I'd personally wait for around the end of the year, Too many issues and cut corners currently.
