Each to their own I suppose. I'll admit it definitely isn't their best work, but it's not their worst either, and given that it followed The Blackening there was always going to be some disappointment.

True dat, I wasnt a fan of the mix on it either, especially the drums, to my ears weren't good.

Oddly the drums sounded great to me, cranked up in my car. Got it on in my headphones now. The vocal mix isn't great, think maybe they didn't want to go too polished and layered after how much they struggled with Halo live for a while ^_^.
Can't really judge the instrument mix that well in this headset (a lot of hard years in them), not sure if parts sounding too low at times is the fault of the mix and/or hardware, but I don't think non-audiophiles would notice too much.

KsE are a band I never really got into, some of the riffs are fantastic but the songs have always left me a bit cold, especially when Howard took over vocals, though what i've heard of the new material is alright so far.
