mDP troubles

RadeonHDx

So I've bought a few mDP to VGA adapters (I cant get around it cos I only have a VGA input on the monitor), they appear to work for the first 10 minutes but then just fail and the monitor just flickers on and off. I have tried adapters ranging from £2-30 but still the same outcome with all of them.

So here's my question, would I be better buying a cheap card like a ATI Radeon X300 or going all out crossfire and getting another HD7870?

I'm not sure if this would even work if I put my monitors in eyefinity so if anyone can help me thanks! :)

Trust me I want to but my triple monitor setup is kind of budget, as in I have 1 22" 1080p monitor and next to it 2 17" 1280x1024 monitors, I'm looking for the cheap monitors that have DVI and I have found one but I already have the monitors and they only accept VGA like I said :(...

I could I suppose, but just out of interest could I use another cheap graphics card just in the mean time ro run in eyefinity if its an AMD/ATI card?

And I possibly just had a stroke of luck because one of the monitors I recently purchased has just split right down to middle overnight!

I'm sorry if this sounds abit stupid but by new monitor what do you mean? I was just going for a nice, cheap Eyefinity setup.

I assumed you were going for an eyefinity gaming set up? In that case you can use your 3 monitors but can only use it for the lowest resolution you have which is 1280x1024

OOHHHH shit, sorry I didn't quite reallise what i was saying when I said eyefinity, I meant to say that I usually run the monitors in normal windowed mode and occasionally use eyefinity for some games that cant be resized.
