Mayhems Aurora Coolant - Pre-mixed Liquids

im dubious to be honest as i know people will not read the instruction to things like it cannot be used on a XSPC pump / res combo and the pearl will be sucked into the pump and disappear over night.

Or go sticking Aurora into a Restrictive block instead or Aurora + ...

The liquid look and work perfectly but only if you follow the info we will be providing with the liquids.

Wonder if SpecialTech will do some sort of kit that has upgraded components that are fully compatiable? Just wondering seeing as you seem to work closely with them Mick.

Are the Pastal colours going to be released at a later date mate? or released at all?

pastel colours are me and ice dragon cooling working together. We are trying to get the base liquids over here cheap enough to be able to colour them and then re-sell them to a Re-seller at a rate wich means it will hit the market cheap enough. this all takes time.

Hmm, yes I can see why this would be a worry for you. The last thing you want is for it to be perceived as a "bad" product purely because people haven't read the numerous caveats associated with its use. A tricky one indeed my friend, but all you can do is label and market the stuff as clearly as possible.

I wish you the best of luck as I think this is a great product for those who wish to show off their water cooling. Personally I've always been very much a functional PC builder, but I'm very keen to use this stuff in my own loop. Though for my initial testing I will just use something more conventional. Only once fully tested will I switch to the Aurora/Aurora+ as needed - I'm yet to decide on my CPU block etc. so cannot pick yet!

Mayhem’s Aurora +

Recommended Equipment

½” Tubing clear

Tube or Drive bay reservoir

CPU water block

Any pump above 399 Ltrs Per Hour

Change out liquids every 6 months

*** Do not use Reservoir with pre inbuilt pump. ***

All though every effort has been made to test Mayhem’s Aurora rang of fluids we cannot guarantee that the liquid will work in every system. We have tested a wide range of equipment and found that 95% of it works perfectly well with no adverse effects. However we cannot cater for every single setup out there. Aurora and Aurora + is for users who have a clear understanding of water cooling a pc and its iatrical components.

The difference between using normal plain water and Aurora and Aurora + is about 2c to 3c+ increase in temperature. This is very much dependant on your how your own system is set up.

We have found that Mayhem’s Aurora and Mayhem’s Aurora + has had no adverse effect on plated water blocks however normal wear and tear is still taken into account when using our fluids. If a water block has any damage to it on the plating our fluids may escalate this problem however we have not seen this in our testing.

Mayhem’s Aurora and Mayhem’s Aurora + contain no glycols and are based on environmentally friendly vegetable extract. Our testing range has been from 10c to 85c. We do not recommend using Mayhems Aurora or Mayhem’s Aurora + on systems were the temperature of the liquids may go over 90c.

Mayhem’s Aurora and Aurora + Contain patent pending technology.

Mayhem’s Aurora and Aurora + Do not contain any metal.

Mayhem’s Aurora and Aurora + Do not need biocide’s or Inhibitors.

Mayhems offer no guarantee with our liquids and are used at your own risk.

Mayhem's are now taking pre-orders for Mayhem's Aurora and Mayhem's Aurora + from re-sellers only.

ETA for Mayhems is Nov 2011.

been playing around some more .. just cannot seem to stop.

The gold and deep purple really go well together and have a real retro look about them.

I have no pics atm as the camera has gone missing again (will look around tomorrow)

Nice, sounds good mate. Looking forward to those pictures.

On another note weve been asked via a second party for intel if our pearl will work on 3M products. So tonight i set about testing it and found it does.

Longer term testing is needed how ever on the NOVAC 649 with has less mass than water and less viscosity than water .. well ill let the picture do the talking ...

we dont have a spare loop at the moment for this to test on but will do at a later date.

im hoping to get some more updated liquids from 3m Soon for further testing as well.

Do you have plans of making this part of the line up or do you have your own variant with out 3M products.

To stop confusion as ive have been asked a few times now

Definitive guide for pumps to use with this liquid -

any reservoirs were the pump is actually fully submersed is not a good idea. the reason for this is the Pearl gets sucked into the vents of the pump and doesn't get pulled back out. What you will see for the first day or so is some excellent effects but then quickly the pearl literally disappears. When you then flush each part of the system you see the pearl coming out of the side of the pumps inside the reservoir.

So under test these pumps are all fine ->

Any pump that is submerged directly in a reservoir or liquid were it needs water to cool the pump directly for long term use. All so any pump that is blow 400 Ltrs Per hour and has a very low over head pressure.

Hi Mayhem,

Thanks for the clear information.

Can I suggest at some point this information be stickied in the watercooling section ready for when this stuff is available to buy? Perhaps you would be able to keep it updated as you test more hardware / get feedback from customers?

Really am liking the look of this stuff.

Cheers,

Scoob.

our web site atm is under major redevelopment and with in the next few weeks will be changing and all this information will be available though it.

Mick.

The information ive posted on this site about these liquids is a 1 off thing wich Tom kindly let me do and i am very grateful for.

Normally these types of post are not allowed

Ok, cool. I didn't realise this would usually not be allowed, after all you're providing a service to the community right?

Still, thanks for the information, it's appreciated.

Ok, I get it really, can't really be having businesses effectively advertising here becoming a norm I guess.

I remember not long ago someone was asking where to get a fluid that would look like liquid gold flowing in the cooling system. I bet if you could get the right dye color (most listed as gold look like yellow piss) with your pearly liquid, I bet it would do the job. I would do my own gold mix and sell it on the net for a profit.

Edit... Just noticed you mentioned you have gold? did you put up a video on it yet, Maybe I missed it.

To confirm we have had testers confirm our findings with Mayhem's Aurora and we happy to say that at normal running temps Aurora and Aurora + is +2c / +3C above water.

There has been no visible signs of clogging and no visible signs of brake downs.

Aurora as of Monday 12/09/2011 has now moved into production stage.

Thank you goes out to

Gilgamesh and VileLasagna and the two other testers (whom are under NDA, you know who you are)

tom thank you for letting me have this thread on OC3D

Mick
