Mayhems Aurora Coolant - Pre-mixed Liquids

Hey mayhem, you seem pretty knowledgeable in the tubing department. I need some 3/8" ID x 1/2" OD white tube. what would you recommend?

Oky here you go so far in my findings - these are tests only on clear tubing.

Some colour tubing i have had in the past cracked at bends so ive kept away from it since. (got it from Wcuk).

ClearFlex - Goes misty over time - no leaching

PrimoShill - Has been spot on - no misting - no leaching

Tygon - Goes misty and leaches like mad (good bend radius though)

XSPC - Under test atm

Masterkleer - Leeches really badly and can block a system - stays clear - Good bend radius

Thermochill - Never used

Phobya - Leaches (not badly but it still does), oky bend radius, stays clear

Fesser - havnt got a clue never used it.

this is what i used and tested on, I am not a reviewer though and these finding are just what i have seen from playing with tubing.

I would love to do testing long term on tubing how ever getting all the different brands in and 2 sizes would cost a fortune. All so the time it takes to test the tubing (3 months at least) means it would take me at least 1 year with 4 systems running 24/7 to get real results. And that is just covering 1/2 of the tubing market.

Now the best place for advice is to hit a wine shop. these guys produce wine and know there stuff when it comes to tubing as they need it to stay clear and not leech into there wine

, they how ever don't know naff all about bend radius lol ....

ive sent him a request directly how ever res makers are reluctant to supply me with gear. A lot of companies wont send me gear for testing as its a conflict of interest.

Well I might just have to send you oner myself , I will send you a pm in a couple of days .

What does it mean when tubing leeches?

Plasticizers for plastics soften the final product increasing its flexibility. These comes out of the plastic PVC and leaches into the water cooling loop causing it to block the ports on a water cooling injection block.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasticizer

Apparently in some countries is un-lawfull to use "certain" Plasticizers and in certain countries and even the EU its being considered to ban the use of Certain Plasticizers in products because of this effect.

Just got to add im no expert on these matters how ever ive seen it alot in testing of certain tubing.

I'm using tygon clear tubing and its one of the tubing you tested, leeching sound bad and so what would you recommend as a better replacement for it? I use 7/16 ID clear tubing and where can I get your recommended tubing from?

Thanks

im really sorry im not a reviewer and cannot recommend really any type. All i can do is give results of what im testing . Im very much impartial to every thing PC based. Except for Bits power i just think that rubbish dressed in a fancy coat.

I like Clear flex my self how ever it mists up and all so primoshill stuff is good how ever the bend radius is rubbish.

Thank you to Paul from XSPC for supplying me a spare Alpha H1 Cube Case case he had. Its not like the released cases and is the only one in the world like this. (i think)

ITS A MONSTER

and thank you to Eddy and Niko at EK for supplying me with some plated blocs so we can test the liquids out on them. Ill post up some picture later on when i get some time.

We may all so have some new regrinding 3m tomorrow.

well I can tell ya that the feser tubing gets misty rather quickly. Doesnt seem to leach anything, but I dont think I will be using the clear stuff again. I took the tygon out of the new system as well. It seems the leaching happens quickly because I was already starting to get some buildup in my CPU block. Went with the primochill white, see how it does in a few weeks of use. nice score on the xspc case. Now you have something to put all that gear into!

I can't wait either, not sure if i'm going to get some of the pastel range or this Aurora range. It's a tough decision because they both look great.
