I am worried about my PSU.

When it has power going to it, it creates an electronic buzz. Im pretty sure this is not normal.. :eh:

Any feedback? Thanks guys. :p

Edit: Crap spelt dying wrong!

Edit-> Advanced and you can change the title.

The all buzz too an extent, its part of how they work. How loud is it?

Changed

Yea as ham said, all PSUs buzz a litte. Check the kettle cable is in properly and all the internal and external screws are done up. If not then i'd unhook it. I had a cheapo PSU start to buzz and a few hours later it went bang in a big way, nearly took my hand off lol

Bloody hell! :D

I think it maybe normal then.. it isn't load.. I just noticed it when i was hooking a USB up to the pc!

Thanks for changing the title! ;)

Very annoying, but I'm pretty sure it's normal. The buzzing sound probably comes from magnetostriction of one of the components in the PSU. There are ways you can dampen the buzz but it depends how low your survival instinct is. :D

Ive just repaired the PSU in my pearants computer. (the fan wire was stopping the fan from spinning = overheat = whole computer crashes).

With no fan running theres a very noticable hum. But its normal.
