So there you have it, Im 41 and its taken me a good 10 years and a very understanding wife to get my Man Cave to this standard. Oh the Test bench is just a Coolermaster jobby fitted with a cheap OCZ 550w modular psu and The Gun is a MK1 model 1941 British Made Bren Gun.

Looks good...

You've spent that much money and not one of them is Intel?
Change the 990FXA and Piledriver to a 3570k and a z77-GD65 maybe?

Sorry buddy, but im an AMD fan, i know intel have the faster CPUs, but i just love my AMD, plus some ones got to support the under dog or Intel will start charging you chaps what ever they like.

Why wouldnt you spend money on a single epic desktop and then a nice laptop?

Having 3 rigs in such a small area just seems nuts, even I dont do that!

Lots of reasons, i like the feeling of being surrounded by my tech creations when im sat in my chair, it gives me the excuse to play with more than one pc at a time, i hate laptops, although i do have an old acer i mess with, i also have an Acer Aspire Z5771 all in one on the wall in the kitchen plus a HTPC in the lounge oh and what i call my intel play rig will post pictures next of these. I suppose at the end of the day its just personal choice, One Mans Blood another Mans Poison --and all that.

By the way Tom, i love the videos, makes those Yanks look like children in comparison.

SO TO START WITH THIS IS MY INTEL PLAY PC- As all my other rigs are AMD i mainly made this rig just to see what all the intel fuss was about and at the same time try out W8 and the MINI ITX Power house theory.

Oh yeah my H100 has that annoying rattle fault, i also used Carbon fibre tape to cover the fan sides with to stop LED light leakage from the sides. Must say im impressed with that 2500k though.

Ive since those pics dropped the OC to a more Prime 95 stable 4.6ghz, and reversed the 140mm rear fan as said above to make it an intake for the H100 120mm fans but i did add an external dust filter too the 140mm.

am i the only one that is thinking that a seperate pc for each game you play is just nutz???

why not have a kvm switch if you really want 3 pc's. have a nice open room 2/3 high end screens and just switch between the systems?

Because Im not you and your not me, everybody in this World is different, thats what makes it interesting, consequently we all do things differently, which is why ive done what ive done and not what you would have done.

But interestingly, i have tried KVMs in the past and have found them rather wanting, and buggy at best.

Each to his own :D I love having lots of rigs around to tinker with although only one is mine - I'm usually building something for someone.

I owned a 1100T before this 3570K. It was a great budget rig whilst I was at uni. I was very disappointed with bulldozer though so I jumped ship when the time came for me to change up. It's still ticking over as a desktop for my parents though.

Love the prodigy build. I really need an excuse to make one...
