Looking for Cheap GTX 460?

Just had a quick nosey at overclockers.co.uk and in their clearance line they have some GTX 460 768mb cards for £80 in UK VAT.

While they take a hit in gaming over the 1gb version, in folding there is more or less no difference as they have the same number of shader cores running at the same speed.

Yeah they did.

I got my 460 from there, same price but mine is a PNY reference rather than an Asus, last October I think it was.

Not so great as a gaming card (although for the price it's not matched) but great for folding as it's more or less on par with the 1gb version at crunching the work units.

It's a shame no one from here managed to bag one (I assume).

They have some 1gb versions in stock for £16 more (£95.99) so it's still on the cheaper side but hardly a bargain.

wow that was a deal, damn i missed it. For £80 i guess you cant go wrong, perfect for folding
