I feel so bad for these people. This flooding starts two streets down from mine, so no worries for me, thank gosh (my house is located out of the flood zone) but this is the second time in two years this has happened. I took these @ 4:45PM, and as you can tell, its still raining, and is going to continue, but now, the temperature is dropping and it might switch to snow.
So, here's some pics I took. Me and my mom wen't out and decided to look, as my dad wen't out this morning and looked. This morning they had rescue boats out retrieving people stranded in their homes.
The roads are blocked off from the street behind me and down.
Some dude, lol. Look at the water!
It's amazing, cool, sad, and crazy all-in-one.
My church that i go to. Wow, at the end of the street, you can se a tunnel kind of.Thats like 15ft tall and now you can barely se it.
More; disgusting water.
You all know how big a stop sign is. If you dont, go outside, walk to the nearest one, and stand by it. There's also someones shed, floating.
A car floating, and someone pumping out their basement.
You can see the highway is backed up a bit. The other highway, the George F. Highway has been shut down.
That is just, crazy.
There was a HUGE hill going down to what was a field.
Walking through the church parking lot, you can se that all the side streets are flooded.
Look at the garage doors!
The firestation, where they dispatched the air boats. (Like the ones on Half Life 2 cept they carried lots of people)
There's my house, and my mom walking down teh driveway.
So, theres the flood coverage. The forecast calls for 1-2 more inches of snow/rain tonight and more tomorrow.
