Let's seal the Abit FATAL1TY's fate right here and now shall we?

No offence Fragtek but you seem to be "Dissing" Abit a lot.

Have you even tried the board out? If 3 people gave it bad reviews doesn't mean its the worst board out there.

Read the thread and u might find the answers to your questions and then not waste my time having to reply to you :)

And yes, I do diss Abit a lot, because the FATAL1TY boards are fucking shit.

They aren't BAD Frag.

They're fine for regular people :).

They're more than sufficient for "regular" people... But this IS an extreme overclocking forum, and we aren't part of the norm :)

No shit sherlock. Which goes back to, most people in this forum aren't serious about overclocking, like you.

I would disagree with that statement completely. I'd say that the majority of our members are avid / hardcore overclockers.

Edit: Or are aspiring to be.

There are only about four members here with watercooling, and two with phase change. The other 524 members have air cooling..as far as we know (since most dont fill in their profile info.)

Extreme overclocking usually consists of watercooling or better.

EDIT: We aren't discussing the "future extreme overclockers." We're talking about now. Reality, present time. :)

That is where you are wrong... You don't have to have some means of "extreme" cooling to be compasionate about overclocking. That's the biggest misjudgement I think I've EVER heard from you. Be ashamed.

Some of these people may not have the money for elaborate cooling, in fact, most people don't... But still want to take overclocking to the max.

I feel that XTREME overclocking, consists of watercooling or better.

Overclocking, is with air cooling :).

That's just my point of view on it.

There have been many many extreme overclocks pushed to the very boundaries by means of aircooling. I was there once, as hardcore as could possibly be for my current budget, squeezing a 1ghz overclock out of a 3000+ Winchester on air, is that not extreme?

i could get 60mhz less on my asus, just mem in 2t and it was a deluxe not a premium.. not ALL boards are bad. the dfi seems to be popular and most likely to give successful oc's. being totally biased however.. that's just ignorant. :o

I've gotten 1.2GHz out of this Prescott on air, and they're supposed to be the hottest CPU there is. (It runs cooler than Nick's CPU I might add..)

IMO there are two different things in the Overclocking arena:

Extreme Cooling = Custom Water Cooling or above, as setting up any system like this requires planning, time and effort, and is something that no n00b would be able to do correctly.

Extreme Overclocking
= Obtaining anything around and over a 35-40% overclock by whatatever cooling means neccesary.
