just wondering what homeschooling you did? as i've been looking myself and wondering what to do

Was all thru my local college, as I work shifts I wasn't always able to attend.....

Was mainly Cisco courses

I felt the same when I got my first job in IT as a tecchie too. This was coming from an HR - Adminny type job and all self taught too.

Yesterday was my last day at my old job the I had done for 8 years, start new job this Monday and I'm really nervous lol I really hope i can do the job, even though I know I can, if that make sense.............. Can't wait to start and get first day out the way

I am recently started a new job in the Centre of Bristol as a Techy, and the go to guy. Small business with a massive turnover. I'm all set.

But the thing was I became ill as you know, and my first week was cut short, and I've lost a whole week of work already lol. All well now.

Congrats again - you deserve it.

ive not broken into the industry yet, even though im a qualified ccnp enginear sniff. congrats. im working volentary for my company that i work for to get my experiance up. hopefully in time i can get my cv all shinny for IT firms lol

Yesterday I got offered a job as an ICT Technician at a local school......

I have been seriously working hard in get a career in IT, done loads of voluntary work, home study etc..... and finally it has paid off, I can finally get out the crappy factory I have been working in for the last 8 years

I'm still a bit blown away atm..... But wanted to let my forum family know

Working in a school is no doubt a very good option. But you being a computer technician, I don't think that your skills are fully utilized there. In this technology driven world, there are a lot of career options for computer technician. You only need to explore and find out one which suits you. I found a site on web http://www.computertechnician.net/different-career-paths-for-computer-technicians which could help you finding a better career option. I know a tech guy always wants to be in computer related field. Good Luck!!!
