Thats a good, at least then when you come to buying something new and want to enjoy it, you've already got 23" guns!

Lol true, Only sitting at 18.3 after 3 years of training at the moment so I got a ways to go
This thread can't be for real surely... I mean, what we should be asking is are there any games worthy of more power and unless you're running 2560x1440/1600 x 3 screens or 4K then the answer is, no. Unless you like looking at benchmarks scores, then that's a different matter of course.
A few years ago 2560x1600 on a single gpu was a no go, the 580/680 did ok, then the 780 came out and bam, first card to really own the res. The Ti is beastly but i don't think it's worth the extra over the 780, if it had 6gb like the titan then maybe.

I agree that a 780Ti isn't going to need replacing for a long time, but I understand the need to upgrade all the time; I would if I had more money free, which being a student, I don't.
I think it sounds way to early Q1 next year for the next series, but who knows?
I'll probably be upgrading my whole PC next gen or the gen after
Even my two 580s play almost everything I want on full settings, so I'm content for now
I'd rather have these two watercooled than blow tons of money on a 780Ti or two, and not have enough left to watercool them

I agree with what you're saying here, but I don't agree with this bit:
I been running a 30" 2560x1600 for a long, long time. Probably 7 years now I guess. I ran it on SLI'd 7800GT's (These only even had one Dual-Link DVI to even use this display on each card!) then an 8800 GTX, GTX 260, GTX 480.
All of those setups handled it fine because at the time they were released the games of that moment ran fine at 2560x1600 on those cards. We didn't have Crysis or Crysis 2 or Crysis 3 back when I had some of those cards.
I used to play Team Fortress 2 and World of Warcraft at 2560x1600 no problemo, those were the games of the time though. TF2 being newer released in 2006. I also ran Left 4 Dead on the 8800 GTX and later on the GTX 260, again at 2560x1600. Ran fine with in-game settings maxed out.
Heck I even ran GTAIV on the GTX 260 without problem, I had no idea people considered that game poorly ported because it ran perfect for me with great FPS even at 2560x1600. The only limiting factor I had there was the memory on my card I think it had 896MB or something.
Anyway point I'm getting at is in my experience whatever the highest end card is at that moment it can run the latest games natively at 2560x1600 with high settings that has been the case for me for a long time. Right now I'd say a single GTX 780 will run latest titles like Crysis 3 fine at 2560x1600.
Right now I have two in SLI and I run 7680x1600 (3x 2560x1600) comfortably in Pay Day 2, Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, Battlefield 3 etc basically all the games I play.

Vicey pretty much sums most up what i would say, however in my opinion i am thinking of staying with my 780, then when the price is driven down more i will get a 2nd and then that should handle what i want to play no problem.
If you want bragging rights then sure refund your card, but if you just wanna actually enjoy your pc keep to it and SLI you 780ti if and when it needs it.
If your running at 1080p, then that would not be for a far while. if at 1440 or more then maybe SLi might become more necessary sooner.

It is very unlikely that it will come out as early as feb simply because of the manufacturing process used to produce the chips will not be ready for full production until then.
If they do come out in Feb then I can only assume it will be a paper launch with products being sent out to reviewers first.
