Is the Switch 810 a good choice?

I've been ready to make a case change since I first put in my ATX board into a mid-tower case... Makes for a tight build. WAY TOO TIGHT. I've been browsing along for cases and looking up reviews... I ran into the Switch 810, it seems really nice... Just didn't hear too much good about the plastic parts of it... which are too flimsy. Overall, is this case worth getting if you want the space and want air cooling/water cooling?

I've also seen the 800D, which seems like another case I'd get, just not sure because of the case. I could also get the HAF 932.

I have the HAF 912... So small.

I was in an similiar position as you are. I upgraded from a midi-tower (lian li) to the switch 810.

Its pretty nice, nothing really bad about it the plastic is better than i expected.

As im looking into watercooling this was just the best choice i think

Yeah I have one and I love it. Most people who get one like to mod it in some way (well on here anyway!) but yeah I was also looking at the 800D until Pexon shouted at me an persuaded me to go for something different

yeah the 800D is a kinda crap, because there is no airflow... at all but i dont really like the switch either, hate any case with plastic panels they just look horrible to me

I think it's a terrible choice. It looks super tacky with it's plastic exterior and doesn't do particularly well what it's supposed to.(Without mild modding)

Oh and a Storm Trooper is $20 less on the egg.

Oh and the HAF 932 is even cheaper. So if you want to cram a rad in the top of that, you can get it and the "custom" side door with the window and still be under what a switch costs.

yup plastic here as well. You object to plastic and then recommend cases with just as much????

The switch does all it says it does and more. Yes if you use certain parts some mild modding is needed, but there are parts that will just bolt in. And the plastic is good quality I have popped mine apart numerous times and nothing has broken on the plastic.

Well, I went and bought one. (I have connections with frys, so I got it cheaper) Although I have to say the build looks freaking epic.. I'm having a hard time enjoying the plastic. The top part that open and closes... Seems to be somewhat hard to unlock... and taking off the side panels are ridiculously hard to take off. (I broke the middle piece, BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T GO ON)

Other than that I had fun with cable managing, extremely easy and spacious with ATX boards.

On my last case, my fans were connected straight to the motherboard. The fans that are place on the fan this time are placed on whatever that thing in the back is called, the fan dock. Now every time I log into windows my motherboard tells me that two of my fans are running at 0 rpm... how do I make it not appear?

go into bios usually under hardware monitoring and set the fan warning to off. Keep an eye on that fan hub if you only have a couple fans on it should be no sweat. I have 5 fans on mine about to be 6 soon but mine is also controlled by my fan controller. Mine dropped out 3-4 headers one at a time (now there was alot of reconfig's in there so it may of been that) NZXT just got me the replacement today. I'll get it on soon and button up my Switch Blade soon well til the next round of changes lol.

The HAF932, even the HAF-X does not accommodate the amount of watercooling and hardware configurations that the Switch 810 does. Have you even read or viewed the reviews on the chassis? It's getting high praise all over the place for doing VERY well at what it's marketed to do. The plastic is a minor concern, especially when you're giving advice with other cases that have as much or more plastic.

I have no complaint with the construction with the front bezel.

I have removed mine several dozen times. I got mine about 5 days before release, and have done many many changes to it each needing me to remove the front and or top. And never have i felt it was going to break. Its super plyable/flexable so it may give ya the feeling it will but it wont unless you get really strong handed with it.
