Hey All,

Handed in an application form today for Toys R Us at the Metro Centre and got a phone call just before asking if I could go down tomorrow at 11 for an interview. Just wondered if any of you work at Toys R Us or have done and what it was like. Any idea on what the pay will be like as that wasnt mentioned on the application form.

Any advice for the interview baring in mind this is my first job and it will run along side college.

Thanks alot, Sam

Never worked for them, but good luck.

Just have a thorough browse through their website, including their parent group etc, and you'll do fine!

Not sure how old you are, but national minimum wage has gone up to over £5 an hour now! Tons more than when I was a little nipper!

Pay is normally okay, from what I've heard.

On a more practical note- what are you like with babies, children and 21 year old kids bouncing around trying to decide whether to get Fifi or Peppa Pig toys? :D

/me shops in that Toys R Us ;)

be polite dont be shy sound confident go suited and booted and look kean but not to kean and you will be spot on

good luck :D

I actually dont own a suit so I am just going in a smart shirt, think this will give me a disadvantage?

Good Luck ... now heres a plan

your First Wage Packet + Employee Discount == Biga$s Trampalampololooline

Just wear the smartest stuff you have, there is no such thing as overdressed, it just shows them you're taking it seriously.

I always make sure i just remember to say ALL my good points inc. interests and elaborate on why they help you.

Isnt £5 an hour for 18+?

Im on £4 odd at woolworths and im 16

Anything above £4 an hour and I am happy, my mate who is 16 works at Ikea on the tills and gets £5.50 per hour.

Minimum wage for 16 to 17 is like £3.40 an hour, then 17 to 18 is £4.60 an hour, and finally £18 and over is just over a £5 an hour IIRC :)

Good luck with the interview :D

get your butt down asda you can put a suite together for 20 quid if your stuck for cash

becouse the first impresion counts but if you dont have a blazer thats ok BUT make sure you got a tie on ;)
