In-Ear Earphones For Training

Hey all,

Just wondering what people recommend for in-ear earphones, for training. Using my Beats are fine for weights but when it comes to cardio...not ideal. Plus I don't like using them when training anyway, £180 I don't want to drop.

Anything with good base in them, at least at the performance of Apples ear-pods since I already have them.

Cheers lads. :)

Klipsch S4i!

i use them for portables and use them during training, they are amazing! and they don't cost a furtune

They are bassy if that's what you like but ive set my equaliser up to produce less bass as i prefer more of a natural sound to my music

Just checking them out dude,

Do they stay in your ear fine? I find with Apples, they fall out to easily, the earpods fit better than the normal earphones but still, bit of tension and ping out your ear.

What do you use to change your equaliser? All my music is on iPod (I buy everything on iTunes) so no Android ability to alter sound.

iPod's have an equalizer dude...

P.S. Surely if you "like" Beats and Apple's stock phones, anything will do? (yes that was a sly dig, in jest)

Check out Shure Se215 as well. The way they fit in your ear make them stay there.

Ohhh now I want some more on-ear Beats too!

I'm thinking of getting Beats Mixr. Wonder what the sound will be like compared to Solo HD.

I have the jaybird bluebuds X they cost me around 110 with a discount but they're the best things on the planet.

They don't fall out...ever

I'm going to get very angry if I heat Beats mentioned again....

I use Sennheiser CX300s if I really need earphones. They're really good for the price, and personally I don't notice a massive amount of difference in quality between mid-range and high-range earphones (have owned several sets of both).

I also find that for portable earphones, they end up breaking too quickly somehow or another, so I wouldn't recommend spending loads on them, especially if the purpose is for using in the gym. The CX300s are easy to take apart and repair which is one of the main reasons I use them tbh. I've had my pair for about 5 years now - had to resolder some things once or twice, but it works out a lot cheaper doing that than having to spend another £40 every time they go wrong.

ahhh forgot about the bluebuds, they are pretty awesome too, designed to be very comfortable

S4's are comfy too, they stay in my ear fine, and you dont get the cable noise when the wire rubs, and the remote with mic works as its supposed to and doesn't have shit quality.

I use the smallest tip because my ears are small and ive worn them for about 2 hours continuously and they dont bug me or fall out

Comes down to how much money you're willing to pay.

you could look at Soundmagic E10m, they were my first set of IEM and for £40 they sound incredible, but they only lasted a few months build quality wasnt all that

Sorry James, but I think I might buy B**** Mixrs. I love the look of them, plus they are supposed to be a tighter fit and more hard wearing.

I may go pick some up on the way home if I have time.

I think all hope is lost on this one James, I'd give up and walk away. Beats may be crap and overpriced but we won't win :P

P.S. I too have CX300's (have done for years) and won't buy any other earphones now :) love em.

my mate has the mixrs, they are only good if you like listening tomusic that is 99% bass as everything else sounded crap when i tried them. and ghost are they good if you are bouncing all over the place.

As Mixr's go, they are better than Solo HD which is what I have atm, so if someone says they are crap they can't be that bad (unless your used to a 10k Bose setup lol).

Plus most of my music has bass in it. :D

Check this out biatches:

No no...
All beats are shit.

They have high bass levels and absolutely nothing on the mids/highs. They're only made for all the modern R&B and dubstep stuff that has absolutely no substance in the highs/mids and just heavy bass all the time.

Even the Solos/Mixrs or whatever they call the headphones now are easily beaten in performance by a £25 set of Sennheiser 202s.

He made this for you lot. ;)

Edit: I think he's write there. When you lot say to me about lows/mids/highs, I don't actually know what you're talking about, I'm not as experienced with sound as all of you, I just look for bass. When I got my first pair a year ago I was nervous about paying £180 for them because I wasn't sure what bass I'd get out of them for all that money, but thats what I was looking for, more clarity and heavy bass compared to Apples earphones.

"I'm not an audiophile" I stopped watching there. How can you defend a product when you don't even know how it works...

And then there's this guy, who is one. Note that this is a comparison video but honestly it's hilarious and very, very true.

But let's not turn this thread into a 'Beats-vs-the-rest'. You asked for these guy's input and when they give you that you disagree? What's the point of this thread then?
