In-Ear Earphones For Training

Hahaha I did actually like that video "Like a boss!"

I wear mine round my neck, PLUGGED IN. Because how else am I supposed to carry them, it's not a hangbag.

Beats are just money for money's sake on a brand-name that has been well established to be a load of tosh Shaun.

It seems like you just want them because they're Beats tbh and you won't be told they're crap so.. again.. what's the point.

While Beats are not the best, I think what's happened here is there's been a massive turn from them being 'cool' and then 'uncool' and that has heavily influenced peoples opinions on them. Even if these people don't know any better.

No doubt that for what they are, they are overpriced and you are certainly buying a brand name more then musical quality. But for crying out loud, they don't actually sound that bad guys. They certainly sound better then what the majority of people give them credit for. Despite what all the nay sayers think, the Beats Pro's actually sound rather tight and dynamic. No they are not tonally balanced and the bass despite being very impressive, is overdone. But it's an exciting listen. For some people an exciting listen is all they want.

FWIW, I don't own a set of beats, and never will. You can do better for your money. But don't hate on a product just because it's in the spotlight. There's much worse out there!

I don't recommend Beats to people, not because they are total sh*t (because they arnt) But simply because imo you can do better for your $$.

Normally I think Bose are overpriced and I never bought any of their product until these.
But I have a set of Bose IE2 earbuds , I was a little leery about paying $100 for them but they do sound nice and stay in my ears good. They come with 3 sets of tips (small , medium and large) , and a soft case big enough for an Ipod. It takes a few minutes to find the tip that fits and feels good .
I use them for biking alot and I've never had them fall out (which is what I wanted).
I've had them for 2 years now and still like them.
I know there are cheaper with about the same sound quality , but they work good for what I wanted.

Lads calm down. You know I appreciate all your feedback on here and your all a good bunch but don't get angry because I personally like Beats. I bought the Beats Mixrs for £220 from Argos after work. First song was Tulisa and I could tell within two seconds they are much clearer than SoloHD's. I paused it and legged it down and stuck them on my Mums head because she likes the SoloHD's. Then I listened to a few songs. The bass is so more punchy but controlled. I absolutely love them. Plus Beats are a fashionable item and I like that but it doesn't mean I rub them in peoples faces. On TV downstairs is a man being given a hot meal because he lives on the streets. How guilty do I feel. I've had three phones this year, iPod, iPad, the latest TV, two sets of Beats, done my driving lessons and test, pay my Mums contract, bought her a tablet, building a gaming rig. The list goes on and he can't afford food. Makes me feel bad tbh.

I'm so confused right now...

To quote your OP:

Hey all,

Just wondering what people recommend for in-ear earphones, for training. Using my Beats are fine for weights but when it comes to cardio...not ideal. Plus I don't like using them when training anyway, £180 I don't want to drop.

Anything with good base in them, at least at the performance of Apples ear-pods since I already have them.

Cheers lads. :)

You ask for in-ear, earphone recommendations so you can have them on when you go for a run...
...then you ignore everyone's advise...

...then you go and replace your headphones (which you've already pointed out are not fit for the purpose of wearing whilst running)...and replace them with a bigger pair of headphones, that are even less suitable for what you were wanting them for than what you already have?!

It just makes very little sense to me what the purpose of this thread in the first place was.

Edit: Didn't even meantion the fact you said you didn't want to drop £180 worth of headphones whilst running... Now you've got £220 that you don't want to drop...?

I went looking at Beats in-ears then started looking at headphones again as I had at weekend so I was like ahhh I want these! But for running I'm probably going to get some in-ears. Just not right now which is why I wanted advice so I can research them. This is a separate purchase.

And for the comments above they are not rubbish. Do you think I'd buy them if they were? Not everybody buys them just because a celebrity has them. They are the best I've had, they served me well so I bought a better pair. What's the point in me posting on here if everyone gets angry because they dislike a brand or product I like? I want advise, not abuse. I've already said lows/mids and highs are just words to me. But I like bass.

100% yes.

If you were looking at getting some new headphones for £220 and did some research, you would not have bought Beats again.

No, Beats are not /terrible/ headphones overall, they are just worse than pretty much any other respectable brand in the same price range.

Honestly though, what's the point in making a thread where you ask for people's input and when they give you what you ask for, you start argueing and just ignore the advice? And then you start talking about a completely different product "But that's for another purpose so it has nothing to do with the thread". Hmmmkay

Anyway, I agree with what SieB and Ghosthud1 posted on page one. Those things are made for running/workout and specifically designed to prevent falling out.

Just... Calm it down a little please...

Edit: I believe he was referring to your OP

You asked a very specific question and then you have deviated and changed your mind, in the process ignoring just about everyone's input.

I like Beats so everyone gets pissy about it, I thought this was for advice and if people actually read what I put on here they'd see I still want some seperate earphones for running.

If this is how its going to continue delete the thread SuB.

I edited my post (probably after you just posted), please re-read to try to understand other people's frustration in here Shaun.

It's bloody simple. I bought some more Beats. I still want some RUNNING earphones. Where did I post that I bought some Beats Mixrs for running? Nowhere.

Okay, so read back through your thread at all the suggestions people have made for running options, that you ceremoniously bypassed to tell everyone you spent 2 tonne on more beats that were pretty much not what you were asking for in your opening post...
