Jesus man that is one of the kinds of things you hear about on the news. That was some quick thinking on you and your buddies part, if it wasn't for you guys, those girls would be worse off. Why the **** would someone do that? Some people I swear....

I have the utmost respect for you. You acted magnanimously and you should feel proud. Many a person would not have acted so couragously (could you say for certain you'd put your life at risk?). A lesser man would have flaked in that situation. You and your friend saved those girls lives.
I aplaud you. Don't be bashful and belittle what you did. You deserve praise and in my eyes you are a hero.
My prayers are indeed with the two hospitalised girls and I pray they make it.
It's a shame one of those bullets didn't stray into that

Agreed, I suspect there had to be some reasoning behind all of this. But that aside, these are young children, they can't defend themselves. Whatever they did was definitely not justifiable by this action, sick and twisted is what it was.

I feel for you and the 3 girls.
But I congratulate you on some amazingly quick thinking.
As alot of us on here and you included, I think we are all still trying to get our heads around why someone could do such a thing.

in utterly proud of you man, that was, if nothing else, extremely courageous and righteous on so many levels. I absolutely respect the hell out of you man, and I think anyone would be thankful and proud that there is someone like you out there.
Like everyone, my hopes go out for the survival of the girls, and the total bum rapage of the maniac that did this, a nice life sentence to boot. I hear prisoners aren't big fans of acts against children.

My room mate just got back with the pix he took, which really suck, all he really took pix of was of the tree that got knocked down and the tire marks, pretty uneventful photo's. I wish we had a panoramic view of main street so I could show everyone a bit better how it went down...
The police obviously collected the evidence but the guy actually left his bat on the sidewalk when he got back in his truck, in the first pic in the lower right if you see where that grate is, it was just behind that. The handle on it was slightly bent, I think he ran over it as he was trying to get dislodged from the tree.

Top effing marks to u for actually `springing into action` I bet 9/10 of us here would`ve frozen for atleast long enough for the scumbag to have gotten away.
There`s some pos lawyer tying to do an officer some place for shooting some1 as they were heading away from a crime, cos he shot him in the kneck at a time where it was argueable that the man presented a threat as he was fleeing. Imo if u`r fleeing in a vehicle after comitting a crime and get shot - that`s just too bad, u`ve already stepped over the line.
