PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS STORY HAS BEEN PROVEN UNTRUE IN SOME RESPECTS. FRAGTEK DID NOT SHOOT AT ANYBODY, AND OC3D APOLOGISE ON BEHALF OF ALL OF THOSE WHO HAVE TAKEN OFFENCE AT THIS THREAD. WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK THOSE WHO HELPED REVEAL THE TRUTH.

The time was approximately 10:45pm last night. My room mate and I had both just walked out the door from our local watering hole and were heading down Main Street to our vehicle. As we got about one block from the bar, two blocks down the road we see an SUV run off of the road on to the sidewalk and hit a smallish tree knocking it over. We didn't think much of it at that point but "hahaha look at the dumbass that just ran over that tree!" That was until about a split second later we heard the screams of young girls, who had been RUN OVER by the SUV. We both immediately started a dead sprint towards the vehicle, I got on the phone to 911. As we got within one block of the vehicle we witnessed what was one of the most horrific thing's I've ever seen. The driver of the vehicle (a black male) jump out with an aluminum baseball bat and start hitting, as hard as he can, one of the girls. I can still hear the sound of the baseball bat connecting with her arms and head with every hit, it sounded just like a home run hit on a baseball with loud shrieks of pain coming from the girl as he made each connection. Once we were within a quarter of a block and he noticed both of us charging him he dropped the bat hopped in his vehicle, ran over one of the girls one more time that was stuck under the fallen tree, and tried to run us down on his way out. I was in such shock when I saw the SUV coming for me I drew my semi-automatic pistol on the driver and fired 8 shots through the front windshield and drivers side window as he passed. He then swerved and wrecked his truck in to a building, I knew I had scored at least one hit on him. Once the driver wrecked I took my attention off of him and ran towards the girls. There were three girls involved, ages 11, 12, and 13. I first ran up to to the girl that was beaten by the bat (she was the 13 year old I later found out), when I got to her she tried to raise her mangled arms to me, bleeding from absolutely everywhere. I grabbed on to her and just held her waiting for EMT's to arrive, she looked at me and in the most helpless crying voice said "Please help me, please help me" over and over again. There was nothing I could do but tell her that help was on the way, I didn't want to make the situation any worse than it was, I didn't know the extent of her injuries. As I was holding on to her, my room mate was trying to dislodge and get the 12 year old out from under the tree that had fallen on her. She as well was very tore up, bleeding from numerous spots, she was unable to walk or barely move at all. Luckily the 11 year old was only slightly hit by the front right of the SUV as it came for them, she was able to run away and only had a small injury to her arm and leg. In the meantime while holding this poor girl I kept my eye on the vehicle which was wrecked in to the side of a building to make sure the driver didn't try and make a run for it (I didn't know what his condition was after shooting at him). He was able to open the drivers door and fall out on to the ground, that's as far as he got. Fire trucks, EMT's, and about 8 sheriff's deputies showed up within about 4 mins of my original phone call to 911. The 12 year old that was stuck underneath the tree and run over twice was injured so badly internally that they had to life flight her out of town. This is by far the most tragic and inhumane thing I've ever seen in my entire life with my own eyes. I never would have expected this to happen in the small town in which I used to live, it's such a nice quiet country town. My prayers go out to both of the girls that were hospitalized last night, I will be following up today to see if I can find out where they were sent and if I can visit them, I feel obligated to do so after all of this.

As for the attacker, he was severely wounded by three bullets that entered his collar bone, neck, and shoulder. He did not die fortunately, nor was he mortally wounded. I spent the better half of the night down at the local PD answering questions for the officers and giving as much information about what happened as I could possibly remember. Before leaving I was congratulated by the point Officer on the case for apprehending the attacker and that he would more than likely be charged for three counts of attempted murder which will land him in prison indefinitely.

This morning, I still sit here completely in shock and awe of what happened. I can see everything so vividly in my head, the most vivid being that girl being hit with that baseball bat the sound that it made each time it connected. It's like that sound just keeps running through my head over and over again. It's absolutely horrifying....

Someone please enlighten me how someone could possibly commit such a crime on completely defenseless YOUNG girls? My guess is that he was strung out on some very major drugs....

I will report back the status of the two girls just as soon as I get more information or when I get a call from the sheriff's office or the police department. So tragic.

omg what the hell, that is some seriously f**cked up shiz man

lucky you came along with your pistol, who knows what else might have happened(to the girls or you)

you definately deserved the congratulations thats for sure, well done frag.

hope those girls turn out to be okay, the dude must of been some nasty peice of work:nono:

Raging.

We definitely ended up being in the right place at the right time. My room mate and I were the only two people on the street other than the girls. It wasn't for a couple of minutes did some other people from local houses and such that heard the crash/gunfire come and help us tend to the victims.

I am glad i wasnt there.

That sounds terrible, did it really happen???

It sounds unreal.

I feel so sorry for the girls parent, how must they feel.

You could be a hero!!!

Unfortunately, all of it is true. This sort of thing should NEVER happen, and I would never have expected it to happen in this town.

I'm/we are no hero's, we just did what was necessary.

You certainly did what was neccesary, glad you popped him, ortherwise imagin how you would feel if he was still out there.

It must be hard to actually shoot someone

I've never had to unholster my weapon on street nor ever had to shoot at anyone until last night. I always wondered what it would be like the day, if that day ever came, unfortunately it did, I had to make a decision to shoot at someone.

TBH, it was much easier than expected. When your own life and others lives are on the line, you don't think you just act.

That's mental

The bloke must've been mad (in the head) or drugged up :(

It does sound unreal and something from a film.

Hope the girls are ok.

He'll probably plead insanity or something

fooking ell........

hope the girls recover back to 100%, and glad you and your mate are OK

i guess everyone would do the same thing if they were in your shoes

damn man.....whats this world coming to?? doing these things to KIDS?! geez...

thats just horible, poor girls :(

you ARE a hero now frag, and i've reconsidered your thread about people having guns, this proves what you were saying, they should be alowed...

wow :(

thats just horible though

Well I saw this and it's hard to think what to say to it.

No hero Frag, but acted exactly right so you have to be praised as a hero

The rest...just...wow, hard to imagine anyone who would be like that

WOW FRAG!!!

That is an unbelievable story! I'd be in shock for weeks after an incident like that. If you had not been there at that very time, you would be reading in the paper about 2/3 murders in your hometown...

Well done Frag, and it shows how a gun can be used as a life saver in a situation like that. That man sounded like an absolute lunatic - did anything trigger the attack on helpless girls???

I hope the girls are ok and that psychopath gets justice. Imo you are a hero for your actions.

First or foremost, my prayers go out for the girls and there families.

Hopefully they will fully recover.

Secondly, that is the most f'ed up thing i have ever heard. Idk how you can run over three innocent girls and beat them with a bat.

Third, this is why you carry a gun. You don't carry a gun to just shoot someone for fun or murder, you carry a gun for the protection of yourself and the protection of innocent people. If you hadn't been there the girls would most likely have died and if you weren't carrying a gun that guy may have never been apprehended.

You did a good thing Frag and I pray for the girls and there families.

Jesus christ, that's just unbelievable. I hope to god those girls are OK. Good job Matt (Frag), you're truly a hero regardless of what anyone says. That must've been one hell of an adrenaline rush.

First and foremost, I've been getting a lot of PM's on another forum about this because it happened so close to a thread I started on that particular forum about packing a gun. Anyhow, this is purely coincidence that these two things happened so close together. Trust me if I could compose a story this compelling I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing, I'd be a friggin' author instead.

This also shows the advantages of carrying a gun, although one would hope this is not exactly an every day thing

I have never in my life seen anything like this. In fact, I don't think I have ever witnessed with my own eyes a true act of violent crime. This is a first for me and it really hit home. I can't imagine it being any worse than it was unless he had been able to kill one of the girls. Which to be quite honest I don't know the conditions of the two hospitalized girls, and the one that was life flighted out could be in very very serious condition. I am going to try and find out today what their names are and where I can find them so I can go visit.

Unfortunately for some areas, things like this are an every day occurrence. If you look at Washington DC's violent crime rate, it's very high. I would reckon that 3-4 time per week an incident not much different from what happened last night happens in DC. There are some very very bad areas of DC that I wouldn't dare venture in to it at night.

I'm also quite certain that I'll have to be taking a few days off of work in the upcoming months to go to court and testify against the guy or some sort of legal who-haw.

i hate the idea of having so many guns on the street, but without out a doubt this is a time when im glad you did.

There really are some sick and twisted people out there. What you did is very brave, well done buddy!

Lets hope all 3 girls make a full recovery.

Remember to speak to someone about it frag as things like this can do some dodgy stuff to your head.

Omfg, that's horrific. That someone would actually do that type of thing kind of defies belief. Thankfully you were there and acted in the right way.

Jeeez, that is some nasty sh|t mate. Shows the advantaged of having responsible armed citizens like yourself. Most people wouldve either froze or shot him on sight..... although in this case the latter would not exactly be what I would call a shame.

Without your intervention he would most probably have gotten away with it and those girls would be dead. Well done dude, hope that b@stard gets put away for good.

Just out of curiosity, where on your person do you keep your firearm?
