That website i would not really choose as reliable. The performance difference with both watercooled is next to none. You save money and the extra money needed for the 780ti+block does not warrant the price difference with performance in mind.

that def could work but i perfer to have it all going from the get go i was tempted to get the evga card with the water block on it form factory but ill take NBD advice n agree that its probly not worth it

It would be easier and less hassle to get it all done at once. Both cards trade blows so often that you can't really call one the fastest one on earth. So the extra money in the end for one is not really worth it.

Clear win for the 290x. Run by the same system but obviously different cards.

from what iv read ur correct the gtx 780 ti only gives a 13 pct increase in performance but cost a third more

13% increase on water or air? Also would like to see a link to where you have found that. I am still finding more info on the internet with 290x watercooled. Best i have seen so far on core is 1320mhz and on mem i think it was 1640mhz.

On air the 780ti will win most of the time. The AMD card is limited by heat and therefore can not OC far. Under water though the story changes and the 290x will literally pull much farther ahead of the 780ti. Both under water they tie in most games but in others they trade blows.

Nvidia fanboy? You seemed very open to my suggestions.. would not have guessed that at all.

Brand wise? Well seeing as you won't be getting this for a while the 290x will have aftermarket coolers by end of Jan, from Asus at least, so based on previous results/data i would choose Asus,MSI,RoyalClub3D, or Gigabyte.

If you like the looks yes, though, since you plan on not watercooling it i would suggest something cheaper such as the MSI GD65 Gaming. Rock solid motherboard.

Ok tbh while looking at that original pcpartpicker list the first thing that popped into my head was " typical i'll just get the most expensive one of everything" person.

Some examples:

$320,- for memory alone? and why the need for an insane 32 Gb with a high clock like that?
Do you know how little difference the high clock alone makes for just playing games?

$350,- for a 240 Gb SSD? why the need for so much? will all your games go on this or just the OS and software?

$230,- for a 1 Tb Hdd? you can get those for $100,- as well? why do you think you NEED the 10000 rpm?

$230,- for 1000watts of power for just one card? serious overkill on that part as well.

Also if you are going to run on stock why not just get a Corsair H100i for the CPU and be done with it?

I mean, anybody on this forum if they are being honest they will tell you getting this super expensive, best of the best stuff will make no sence if you allready need to sell ur car to be able to afford it.

Also they will / should say that the most expensive isn't allways the most ideal for the purpose of the rig.

Also, keep in mind there are different purpose fans to go on radiators and for airflow trough the case

Save yourself alot of money and pick ur parts for the purpose i'd say.

FYI tho, i run my gaming pc on a 60 GB force GT for Os and some 3D editing programs, and i still have 20 Gb free space on that.
All my games are on a 500 Gb 7200 rpm 64 chache HDD and that also has 200Gb free atm.
So yeah you might be even cheaper off with a 128 Gb force GT and a 500Gb HDD.
All depends on what you will be using the system for since win 7 is only like 20 Gb when everything is installed (drivers)
It's your money tho

well i was gona put a os my anti virus and the games i play the most on the ssd with plenty of room for all updates atm my pc broke so im on old pos laptop
