how do you remove the male pins 24 pin psu extension?

Does anyone have any experience or has read a how to (and can post a link) on how you go about removing the male pins on a 24 pin atx extension cable?

the same way you remove the other pins get the tool push it in take it out and pull the pin away

Do you push the pin remover in from each side like you do the female pins or is it top and bottom?
