hey guys ime gettin sky BB next week and ive been lookin around and people are having problems with strict NAT? i dont no what that is lol especilay when trying to play MW2 so its suggested to port forward so basicly how do i do it.

also regarding torrents (i use utorent),is it better to have upnp enable so they go faster,i no i did that on my parents router and it did the job of speeding the DL's up,or do i have to port forward that aswell.

sorry ime a total nooob when it comes to this kinda thing

cheers

There the ports i used to do mine! you simply access your router by going through the default gateway on your browser e.g 192.168.1.1 in browser and input the admin info, then select port forward and input the following ports.

Also my NAT stuck at strict even though i opened up the ports, so i installed a new firewall instead of the windows standard one and added it to the exceptions and all is fine and open!

TCP Ports

27014-27050

UDP Ports

1500

3005

3101

27000-27030

28960

whats the diff between TCP and UDP or will they have a menu when i go into the portforward menu, are these for torrents and NAT?

I thought you were saying QFT in a different context. There was about to be a big can opened, and you don't wanna know what's inside. :P

ok i added utorrent to the services and then into the inbound firewall using my port now for the ip address i used my external one so not the 192. one,is that ok,do i disable upnp in the router and uttorent and auto port mapping in utorrent?

does not seem to have made a difference infact the nets abit slower

It shouldn't affect you internet speed overall. All you have to do is follow that site step by step. You can even select the program from the list once you select your router. It's all there for you to follow.

i think its done,i changed the lan server ip address to the 192 one and it all seems ok i gained about 100-150kbs
