i just went and bought HL2 Game of the year edition. me and my friend that lives close to me wanna start shooting things. so what i want to know is what r some good headsets?

and if u put a patch or mod on the game does it still work w/steam?

and who wants to kill me so i can get some practice??

Ok if you're looking for some good headsets, you wanna get some with 5,1 surround imho, normal stereo just doesn't cut the mustard. Do you have a desktop microphone for in game play or teamspeak? If not you're gonna need ones with a boom mike on them too.

As far as patches go, Steam takes care of that automatically (not well, but it does lol) As far as mods go there are quite a few about now for Hl2, here are some of 'em for ya.

Take a look at this thread I made a while back for some HL2 Mods.

Any mod I've installed just comes up as a seperate game on the Steam Games list. You shouldn't have any bother isntalling them.
