I knew switching cases would come back to haunt me

So last night when I booted the PC I tried to run CCC to enable Crossfire. This needs to be done each time I remove the cards and put them back in. Oddly it said that the shortcut referred to a program that no longer existed. Hmm.

Today I uninstalled the ATI stuff through Revo removing all the reg entries, then went into Driversweeper in safe mode and removed all ATI drivers. Rebooted, ran the CCC install with the drivers, drivers went on. However, CCC did not. I have looked for it and it simply isn't installing. I have ran the installer alone for CCC *ONLY* yet it just isn't installing.

WTFs going on?

One card in - remove everything as normal.

Still one card in install everything restart.

Makes sure its all working with one.

shut down

Insert second card with NO CF bridge.

Start machine and wait for it to say its installed the card drivers automaticallyy (win7)

shutdown.

fit CF bridge.

Start machine, enable CF and restart.

Should be sorted now if you follow that to the letter. miss owt and it wont work.

Thanks Tom. Excellent advice for the future and I appreciate your time

Thankfully though I seem to have fixed it. Firstly I've had numerous problems with 10.7 since installing. At first I got a tonweight of BSODS on the way into 7 but managed to resolve by running the steps I mentioned in post 1 (my one). However it's seemed a bit odd tbh. Then when I tried to clean and sweep and reinstall CCC simply wouldn't work. What I failed to realise is that when I formatted up that Patriot drive yesterday it pinched the D: drive spot from my 500gb. That messed up all the drive letters and my downloads defaulted back to my name/downloads folder on the C: drive. Thus, when I kept redownloading it and reinstalling it it was doing the same. (Because it was the same.. hahahaha)

Then when I realised and performed a massive facepalm I just went back to 10.6 and it's all fixed now.

Phew. Thanks again for the help man.
