Hi I am 60. My name is Cutter and I am trying to return to Intel a DX48BT2 from my second build. You cannot overclock this board. I have a Q9450 with 850 Watt Thermaltake power supply. My case is a Kandalf full tower. My memory is Viper 1333. My CPU cooler is a Zalman 9700. My first build was a 975XBX K2. I would like any info on ASUS rampage extreme Mobo if it will support 8 GB of 1333Mhz. My favorite games: Crysis, Ghost Recon, Call to Duty4. In my old age, I want to become an overclocker. I'm guessing that the RAM is DDR3, if so, then yes the rampage extreme will support it. The rampage extreme is also probably the best overclocking board you can buy, looks sexy too.

Hello Sir and welcome to OC3D. I reviewed the ASUS Rampage Extreme a short while ago and it will most certainly run that memory and the configuration.

From the specifications:

4 x DIMM, Max. 8 GB, DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066/800
