help urgently required please

Hi, I My water level is full apart from about 10mm at the top of the res. I moved inlet but made no difference. Had it on both ends and sides & been shaken as much as poss, all to no avail. The D5 pump top houses my other pump which serves the GPU's and working perfectly. Please see pics below. Thanks Glen

hi, I am draining the loop at the moment. Going to flush out then try again, for about the 20th time. If it doesn't work will add pics. Still no flow, pics as requested by Nurf. I am now thinking I have a faulty pump? I have another D5 which is being used by my bottom loop, should this be powerful enough to to run the whole thing as one loop? Any theories/suggestions are most welcome. Thanks for taking the time to view. Glen

Yes. You will have no problems with just one pump.

The 'dead' pump, does it make any noise at all? Is the molex in with all the pins in fully?

Hi, yes the pump makes a noise & and you can see from the last pics there are bubbles in the res. It has totally blown my head. Th at is why i am ordering a new pump & take it from there. thanks Glen

You have no water near the outlet so in my eyes it does look kinda bad in terms of the pump. In the first photos you had no outlet so I don't know what that has done to the pump. If that was my system, I'd say the pump was broken but test the loop with the other pump just to make sure. Yes it might be annoying to take apart the working loop but atleast you will be 100% sure (I'd probably even test the possibly broken pump on the other pumps top while I'm at it)

Pump outlet

Hi, I did have both inlet & outlet in the first pics. This res is one large chamber & not two separate ones as some members have thought. Thanks for the imput. Glen

Yea seems I was wrong, thought both of the top ones were inlet. I'd still try it with the other pump, but its up to you. If you have the time and money to just get the new pump, I understand. My personal luck with anything is that if i replace something, usually I find out that there was another problem. Thats why I do every possible test that I can think of in those situations. Hope you're not as unlucky as me.

Pump Inlet

Hi Mate, no worries, I have been trying to get this running since last Monday. I had three consecutive nights without going to bed. then i had a couple of days not doing anything & now I am back on it. As you can see from the pics & i can tell from hum of the pump it appears to be working, note the bubbles/froth. This is about the 25th time I am stripping the top loop down and flushing all the parts again. My next step after if that fails is to swap pumps. Wish me luck? All the best Glen

Man it seems to be a hutsle to get your loop to work, im sorry to hear that !
You could try to open the bleeding screws on your alphacool rads maybe that will help getting these huge air pockets to get the F*** out of your plumbing !!!!

Otherwise i wish you good luck an keep your head up !

Cheers mate !

Thanks

Hi Mate, Thanks very much for the words of encouragement, very much appreciated. I am in the middle of flushing everything just now & will reassemble my loop tomorrow. I had a 50mm exstension & a 90 degree coming out out of my CPU block. When I reassemble I am going to try 25mm exstension & 45 degree. I will also try tweaking the rad blanks as you suggested. Thanks for taking the time read my post. Cheers Glen

Hi to everyone who looked & offered me some much appreciated advice, it was most welcome. Ten minutes ago I finally sorted my loop out after eight days of trying. I swapped one of my top rads, reassembled & hey presto it's like Niagra falls. I can only assume it had a blockage or was faulty. For the time being I am going to run with two loops as I am almost sick of the sight of water cooling parts. Will monitor my temps & maybe switch to one loop after xmas. I was very tempted to go and buy a new pump & CPU block but thankfully did not waste my money. I will be uploading pics to my build log tomorrow & hopefully will be finished by then too. Thanks again to all for your help & support, Glen

Cheers, I am pleased I have not had to spend any more cash as I have already in excess of three grand on it. However, I think it will be worth it when finished. Thanks again for the support.

Thank you

Cheers mate, I was just about ready to splash the cash when I read your post, Thanks Very Much.
