hey so im in the market for a new computer, i only want the best i have $7k

so i think i have enough

i basically want my comp to be :

• 
  
  FAST(very fast basically a very low ping and not lag )
  
  RELIABLE ( not really neading modifications to its hardware)
  
  LIFE ( i dont want it to become outdated to fast)
  
  SPACE ( i need a lot of space cause i heavily rely on my computer for my school work cause i use it for graphic design .
  

im into basically very graphically enriched games EG HL2 and CS:S hopefully soon there will be more games wich have very good graphics

so i need a comp tht will suport this also sound is a big factor cause i love to piss of my neighbours

so i basically need a good computer all round please help

any other parts or items that u think would help please add them to this thanx

you need a 6800 for sure

well either and amd x2 or an amd a64 fx55

No - probably a nice Air-cooling setup if you don't want to fiddle around too much!

Well that lot would cost a bomb...so a budget and probs someone who knows where to get the stuff would be nice!

Well that lot would cost a bomb...so a budget and probs someone who knows where to get the stuff would be nice!

i agree with kempez but instead of Razor DiamondBack 1600DPI Optical Mouse i would get a Logitech MX 518. and i won't buy a 6800 but i would wait for a bit and buy the new vgas like R520 or G70 because they have the support for Windows Longhorn Avalon and WGF2 (DX10) whilst a 6800 or an x850 don't.

Well a 3500 is a good CPU and you can overclock it to get the best out of it.....its just that X2 CPU's are coming out. Thats 2 x CPU's in one!! :worship:

just wanted to ask why do you won't to change the computer?. the only thing that im seeing that lacks in your pc is the vga the others are very great.

i have a radeon 9600 there are probably better ones out now

i had this comp custom built for $2,500

so far its been pretty good but its slowly starting to be outdated i think

Good move on the X2.

The vid card is the VGA. Yours is a bit outdated....you want either a Nvidia 6800Ultra/GT or an ATI x850XT PE (maybe the x850).

just to help you out....

nothing in your system past a certain point can elp you to avoid lag, that is all about your interent connection and more importantly how far away from the server you are. $7000 cant help youavoid lag

well if he gets either a Nvidia 6800Ultra/GT or an ATI x850XT PE he wont support Windows Longhorn Avalon which i think if he's waiting for the X2 maybe he should wait maybe nvidia or ati release their new vga in few time ( im not sure about the time )

wel the ideas so far are for super computers!, but my computer aint even as powerfull as yours now! lol by my standards your comp is ace alredy, but if you want one on the front line of tecnology then i agree with kempez ^^^^^ that list of stuff will get you a top of the range system!

Well if ya want the fastest computers then my suggestions will do you good for a few years yet.

And Balilu...its all well and good saying wait...but how long do you want him to wait? A few months...a year? By the time he waits that long something else will be out faster and better...that's the way it is.

But yeah - you wouln't have to upgrade for a couple of years on that stuff......
