M Msm2 New member Oct 9, 2009 #1 Over the last few days my 500Gb HDD has started to disappear from "My Computer" then I get a bubble message such like "F/: unable to write to disk,data will be lost". If I restart PC the HDD is found. Im totally lost with this. Can anyone help.

Rastalovich New member Oct 9, 2009 #2 Dropping in/out is often power related, if not a duff drive. Change the power connector to another rail and see what happens.
