GTX Titan X Performance?

So who is brave enough to say they are getting a Titan X ?

I know I'm late to this conversation but I'm getting three of these for sure. 3GB VRAM @ 7680x1440 is flat out stifling. 12 GB will get anyone to heaven even in messy AAA games.

Yes I know and strongly agree with the argument going on here that GTX Titans (and luxury items in general) are the worst value for the money and are certainly not for everybody, but value is a secondary concern for anybody willing to pay for such a high end item. I can think of way worse things to spend money on like, say, a gold plated Apple product.

That's actually something a lot of people never think about and just shout cry and scream which to be honest just gets annoying quickly.

It's the same with the highest end BMW you can buy and the 2nd highest, The highest end costs a testicle, A kidney and your first born whereas the 2nd highest costs a lot less even though the performance isn't that much less, It's the same in every industry but people think the computing industry should be different when in actual fact it's no different to any other.

Well that is all just a part of the Human Condition. Life would be boring if people didn't fight every now and then.

True but there are so many cry babies in this hobby that after a while you can just pick the ones out that just like to argue for the sake of arguing.

Yeah but at least most computer enthusiasts like us can argue with at least a baseline sense of logic and reason. I really love the console fanboiz and their blind loyalty to their platforms tho'. Those fights can be entertaining to watch sometimes.^_^

Some of those are so cringeworthy "PS4 and XB1 can do 4K ultra settings 60fps they are just waiting for PC to catchup"

Yup they're just over the top and THAT's why I find them entertaining. Equally as entertaining when someone that possesses logic and reason tries and fails miserably to set them straight and the further flaming that ensues.

Sadly not, I have actually met people who have this mind set who think there's hidden hardware/capability inside the consoles XD

TBF they can display 4k. No it's not games.. just movies but only if you download them. Their current blu rays can't handle the discs and new requirements. Read it somewhere.. pretty sure they have the spec to playback from drive though. Just needs a patch or something.

Lets not stray from the Thread topic now ladies.

What I am looking forward too is concrete performance stats on Titan X up against AMD 3xx flagship.

I'm also looking forward to VRAM utilisation numbers in 1440p and 2160p surround modes in the worst offending AAA games. I'll actually run those numbers myself and share them with you guys when I can.

No one is straying little girl, All part of the discussion.

I am looking forward to seeing how much memory can be used in 4K surround though :)

Shots fired!!!

I dont need a bullet proof vest. Im thick skinned. Besides, its only Dicehunter. Nothing to worry about there! mwahaha

Anyway, seems we may have to wait a while for the comparison benchmark against AMD if its true that only the 370 will be released in April.

um just saying the r9 295x2 is more powerful but older and very near the same price according to this...... NVidia pls explain

The 295x is a dual card, the Titan X is a single card.

If the leaked benchmarks for this card are legit it is going to be a beast, regardless of price.
Performance with two, three and quad card setups with the Titan X are going to be very interesting.

I think the Titan X is going to cost $1500.00 to $2000.00 in Australia, but even for that price there will be people here who will buy it
