GTAV finally here

known bug. there's been all kinds-o-crap about that on the interwebs.

Use the blue/green/orange garages instead I haven't lost a car in there yet.

cool. i will have to do that. thats a good thing then cos i stole a bike and done it up like mad and left it in the vinewood garage(blue) so that means it will still be there. yay. but if i take it out and leave it will it be at the garage, like are they permanently linked to it like the standard character vehicles

I don't know tbh, I leave the in the garage. :) stuff disapears and whatnot when you get to missions etc.. so yeah.. I'm not entirely sure how they're gonna handle leaving your prized cars/bikes/etc around. They save all the boats planes and choppers but then you can't really mod those.

I've found the problem with garages to be the doors staying open if you park infront of them. To avoid any problems I don't park or pull up infront of the garages when they have my two 'saved' cars in them. At Michaels I drive to the right and park by Amanda's car (even when in 'Michaels' Obey Tailgater) and at Franklins I always park just down the hill infront of the bike. Which in theory should stop the game attempting to save 3 cars or leave the door open. If you try and save 3 cars you will lose 2/all of them (even at the strip club). It might not be bulletproof but it's worked so far, especially at Michaels house it's definitely made a difference.

I've just 100%'ed the game today so I can get on with online tomorrow! Very excited, my PSN is 'jrobey' if any of you guys want to play with me.

Just putting this out there, but there appears to be an issue where the storyline becomes unplayable after playing multiplayer...

i must suck at it cos i cannot lose the cops. its like they have a force fed me a tracking beacon on one of the many occasions i got wasted. and their cars are insane fast

glad i saw that story breaking comment, i was gonna avoid online until i was done with it anyway tbh.

@Sparkle drive as fast as you can in any direction for as long as you can, soon as your minimap stops flashing, either swap cars to hide, physically HIDE or keep running. Avoid all cops with the vision cones and you should be golden.

Anyone manage to get online going?

I managed to get an hour out of it today (PS3) at around 2pm. It wasn't very stable and I eventually lost connection when trying to play a mini-game with somebody. When I managed to get back online I had lost my character and had to start fresh online but it was about 5pm by then and I didn't get any sense out of it. I have no idea where I got to, I had done two 'tutorials' and then visited a clothes store and held up a convenience store as instructed. I was then prompted to join a mission at Cypress Flats and failed to join a game and after that lost all narrative.

I plan to have another go early on Friday and hopefully reach a save-able point I can resume from as and when the servers feel like working. From what I have read people are having more success on Xbox but I have actually managed to get online.

I finished the first race and when I was about 5 feet from completing the second mission I lost connection. Gave up and let my friends at the dorms borrow the game over the weekend.
