I'm currently running a pair of 9800 Gtx cards but I would really like to update these as they are now the weakest part of my system.

I've only really got 560 money though so can someone suggest a possible replacement/s based in the specs below please.

Corsair HX 750

Asrock P67 Fatality Pro

Intel 2600k

16 Gb Corsair Vengeance @ 1600Mhz

Kingston Hyper X 120Gb SSD

Being around you lot is worse than having a Mrs with a handbag/shoe fetish.

Let's just say for the sake of argument I had £240 available.

Which 570 would you recommend?

This will be a stupid question but...........How much improvement will I see over the SLI'd 9800's???

I'm running a box standard 570 and it is more than anuff for my gaming needs and you can get some really good's with much better coolers on so if you can it would be worth you saving your money up definitely, and as above has said improvements would be visable by a huge amount

Well I heard everything you said and was looking around for a 570 when I happened upon some information regarding an AMD card, namely the 6950 £230 and it's ability to equal the performance of the 6970 by unlocking shaders in bios and upping the clock.

I bought one which I thought would deal with the overclock the best, being the ASUS Direct CU II 2Gb model of 6950, and have managed to unlock the extra shaders so I'm up to the 1536, well so GPU-z tells me.

I've also managed to up the Core, volts and mem to 900,1.125 and 5700 respectively, I think there is more under the hood but this was just my first fiddle really.

I've run vantage performance run with stock settings and get the following scores.

P24456

GPU 22650

CPU 32146

It's a huge mahoosive improvement over the 9800 GTX's, it hit 62.5 degrees during the vantage run but is idling at 37.

Not wishing to annoy anyone, I did set out looking for a 570, but the "extra" performance releasable from the 6950 tempted my mildly technical brain.

Cheers for all your input though guys.
