"Dear m942ysf,

" * 22/10/2009 19:49 BST - PayPal: Buyer escalated this dispute to a Claim.

* 22/10/2009 19:49 BST - Buyer: The seller has made it quite apparent in his EBay messages that he will not make any attempt to reach a settlement without me resorting to a full dispute. He has also been abusive in at least one message recorded on EBay

* 22/10/2009 19:45 BST - Buyer: The CPU arrived in a dmaged state at least 3 of the 775 pins are damaged and as such the CPU would not fit into the socket on th motherboard. I hasten to add that I have not attempted to fit the CPU as it is clearly damaged.

They're not allowed to take money out the bank without your permission are they?

Well with paypal if you do their account verification crap than you could be agreeing to anything.

But in general companies can't take money out your account without your permision.

I am not sure on this one as there maybe a clause stating that they can withdraw funds they have deposited within a certain amount of time.

I should imagine that flea bay are now holding onto the funds until the claim is settled.

Would be good to know how this turns out!!

PayPal aren't subject to the consumer credit act so when you sign up you're essentially letting them do what the hell they want.
