Good looking cases?

so i just looked at the lexa s again, seems perfect for what i need it for, now i just have to find someone that will airbrush it for me :L
 
corsair 850d? even the 650t which tom painted prooves its possible much better cases high quality loads of features etc i also replied to your other thread with a link to a uk based airbrushing website he does pc cases too...

Been said before and will be said again, NZXT switch 810 does that very well for you and I personally like the looks of it. Throw in a splash of colour and Bob's your Aunty :P

Another one that springs to mind is the marmite opinion on the Corsair Obsidian 800D. other than that you end up in Silverstone TJ series territory
 
i wouldn't build a pc in the lexa s, ive built a rig in that case and its an absolute nightmare, i do not recommend, it looks nice but your going to get 10 times better quality from a 50 quid case, have you looked at the betfenix colossus, that's quite a good quality "flashy" case
 
yes, but the word colossus to me, means big, and i wasnt sure if it was as big as my desk, like one of the other cases i nearly bought :L, + the lines where the colour is would make it a pain to airbrush or not?
 
i just looked at the colossus again, and theres 2 versions i think, do i get the one with the window or the one without the window?
 
If your looking to spend that much then i would be looking at a NZXT Phantom 820; one of mates has one highest build quality i've seen. Thats compared to my Corsair's

One person's good-looking case is another's fugly turd box.

For example, lots of people like the phantom aesthetic, I think it looks like the PC equivalent of a boy-racer.
 
Okay, something that meets your req. of a large window and a blank, flat panel: Silverstone FT02. It's a beautiful, high quality case.
 
I do believe you should go for whatever case u like the looks of. Its your thing - and youre the one having it by your side every day. Build quality and materials used is often reflected in the price you pay for the case.

When customising/painting the case, a uniform material is always good to get the same paint finish and hue. This can be achieved with mixed materials aswell but needs way more surface-prep. Depending on how far out you want to strech this - You may find yourself with a paint budget beyond your initial rig.

I dont want to discourage your efforts - just have in mind how long you think you will enjoy the looks of it, how versatile it is for future upgrades-both system and for new design-ideas, versus the cost of the build.

Basically u will always find yourself spending to much on a pc, adding custom cases and finishes just adds to the bill.
The question will always be if its worth it - for you.
 
Well i dont plan on upgrading it every time a new part comes out, maybe £400-500 every 8-9 months, i dont see why i should upgrade it when i have more than enough for what im using it for, and i dont see myself getting bokred of thed design, i dont even need one, i think im just getting it airbrushed for the sake of it :D
 
Would definitely recommend the Cosmos for your build mate, amazing case, great for upgrades and plenty of room for modding, adding extra's and working around all your cabling and any future water cooling.

However take a quick looks at Tom's videos (OC3D Youtube) and I'm sure you'll find a case you like. :)
