Good looking cases?

Sorry if this seems LQ, but im looking for a decent case with a budget of £250 GBP, as all i have seen so far, is plain cases with like a strip of a different colour, and people say its the best, i like stuff like the gmc bulldozer r4, just it looks ugly as hell with the disk tray, and also he lian li spider edition, but they just dont seem right, they look like they would break so soon, and not much space inside, so does anyone know any good looking cases that are decent quality too?

Im after a case thats not plain like coolmaster and nzxt phantoms...
 
What about a Silverstone TJ07? It's an amazing case, plente watercooling options and it comes with a window! I think it looks pretty damn good as well, except for the inside being the regular metal colour. I'm sure you could make that black though ;)
 
I agree with Feronix! Silverstone TJ07 is a beautiful case thats going on your £250 is for the case alone, but i love corsair cases maybe a professional looking 650D or 800D
 
there pretty plain, the type of stuff im looking for is mechatron, cit mars, and aerocool, just people say there low quality, all the good looking cases i see, i ask about, everyone i ask says its low quality, is it just there jelly that they cant afford it? or are they really low quality like people say?
 
oh, also i want one with a flat side, a windows is ok, just nothing like the thermal take 10 gt, i plan on putting a custom design on the sides of it,
 
yeah, nzxt phantom is what im trying to get, just the red looks ugly, i preffer it all orange, but sadly they only have the orange strip on a black one, but i dont want to buy it yet as im trying to find someone that can put a custom anime design on the sides of it, and if i cant find someone i will go with a different case :L

I'm going to be honest mate; the price class you're looking at are cases aimed at people with things like i7s, multiple graphic card set-ups and custom watercooling loops. Most of the time these people are the somewhat more 'mature' folks that like clean looks.

Most of the tacky, plastic-y cases that you're looking for are aimed at the younger audience as they like the 'cool' looks. Younger people tend to have less money, that's why those cases are often cheaper.

Also because plastic is a hell of a lot cheaper than aluminium or steel. That's why the cases you've been looking at like Aerocool are quite a poor quality as it's all just a bunch of plastic that tends to break off.

Indeed, the only manufacturer that makes decent cases with lots of plastic are NZXT. The Phantom is already quite old, so I'd suggest looking at either the Switch 810 (though you probably won't like the 'cleaner' looks), the Phantom 820 or the new Phantom 630
 
How about going with a Cooler Master, something like a Storm or a 690, there not boring and a very reasonable price :) Although, for the budget you've got you could go with a Cosmos. However, I think £250 is a lot to spend on a case, I would put it more towards a GPU or CPU :)

My knowledge of painting isn't great...
But considering it uses a lot of plastic and metal, it may be hard to get exactly the same colours across both.

If you're serious about the modding, I think you'd need to go for something like a Silverstone or Lian Li, and then do mods and painting as you desire.

I'm sure there's a few people here that have connections in modding and painting.

This is so true i don't think i have ever met any one who has £250 to spend on a silly looking case :)
 
im gonna go with the phantom 820, only because the switch reminds me of the old 2002 computer with no curves :o also is the lexa s an option? or is that too old and low quality? looking at the images it has a full side with no windows, perfect for airbrushing, then a side with a window that covers about 80% of the side,

Nice idea I forgot about cooler master there a meet in the middle for looks and price! and ive always liked the cosmos but i never wanted to spend that much on a case!
 
Really depends on what you're even using your case for mate.
If you have a mid range CPU and a mid range (or even low end) video card the Lexa S will do.

If you plan on running big air coolers or watercooling, multiple graphics cards, etc. then you'd be better off with the Phantom 820. Though really, just a regular ATX mobo with a small air cooler and one graphics card looks stupid in a full tower like the Phantom 820
 
well i have a £1500 budget for parts, and a £500 budget for case and monitor, £200 for keyboard, wires, mouse and headset
 
I honestly think you're overspending, mate!

Get an 80-150 quid case, that would suffice for all your hardware. You can have a decent 24" Full HD LED monitor for 150-200 quid. Leaves you with 150 pounds extra that you can use on:

Mechanical keyboard: 80-100 pounds
Gaming mouse: 50-80 pounds
Good headset: 50-80 pounds
Mousepad: 10 quid

If the budget's there, get nice headphones and soundcard instead of a cheapo headset
 
nah, i like to overspend and overkill :o which is why im buying the razer nostramo just for the fun of it, and a corsair gaming mouse for actual use...
