Gigs - What you been to?

watched Bad Company this week (got into the aftershow party & got to talk to the band too :)).

Jethro Tull next week & already got my Def Leppard/Whitesnake, Journey, Sheryl Crow & Queen tickets for the summer.

Yup, I'm an old rocker :rocker:

Leeds festival twice.

Muse, in newcastle.

Foo Fighters, strokes, subways, angels and airwaves and eagles of death metal in machester.

Kasabian and the fratellis, in newcastle.

All good gigs festivals, enjoyed them loads..

Saw Supergrass last Sunday. It was amazing!

Saw Seether a while back.. and a few local bands who I can't remember the name of.

Joe Satriani

.

Legend tbh. Started listening to him in the l8 80s after maxing everything any1 had ever recorded ever of Hendrix.

Only been to see 2 people of note, Michael Jackson and Prince in the 90s. Prince I was an extreme fan of at the time. And Michael Jackson came to Cardiff... u`d just have to go. Both excellent performances mind, as entertainers etc. Prince was the best tho, still think he`s an absolute genious, just people move on.

Only band I think I`d jump over disabled people to go and see at the moment would be AudioSlave; my nephew`s looking out for that. I did see the RATM thing, but I don`t think they`d be the same as they were.

Saw some bands when I was in university, absolutely no idea who they were.. I mean the fact I can remember there was a band there every thurday or wednesday is a feat in itself. Chicks, booze, something else, being sick and a headache.

Going to see Metallica in Dublin in August....with my backstage pass.

/Win.

Only other "big" gig was Michael Jackson...back when I was 8 years old...

*insert jokes here*

Metallica have gone soft in recent years but it should still be a decent concert regardless. I saw them in 91 for the 'Nowhere else to roam' tour - absolutely awesome.

Big gigs that I've been to:

* Dire Straits (Alchemy, Brothers in arms and On every street)

* Metallica ^^

* Pantera (Vulgar display of power and Far beyond driven)

* Chemical Bros

* Daft Punk

* Red Hot Chilli Peppers

* GnR

* Suicidal Tendencies

* Van Halen

etc..etc...etc

You sir, are awesome.

Oh, all the gigs I would love to go to...*sigh* Though I went to the Mandela-concert here in Tromsø, and a few other festivals up here...But I'd love to see Static X, Opeth, Metallica and Armin van Buuren live. And I'm dreaming of one day going to Sensation in Amsterdam. :D This summer I'll probably take the missus to see Bryan Adams, and I heard rumors of Avenged Sevenfold playing somewhere in Norway, so who knows?

www.myspace.com/fandangle <-- wasn't very good lol

should be going to Guilfest this July though (Y) :)

I saw Fandangle once. I didn't think all that much of them myself either. Had to be polite though as my friend knew one of the sound techs or soemthing.. He was an alright guy.

What's Guilfest? I'm assuming it's in or near Guilford?

Yup, it's quite a good little festival. My girlfriend went to one a few ears back, had the wurzels, Hayseed dixie and the ukulele orchestra.

dunno if this years will have too many great acts.

Actually its not bad, although, they want £105 for a weekend ticket.... not for me i think.

h'oh man sounds like a proper poopkicker event! heheh...

Sonic Boom Six are the only band i'd go and see on that line up.. Think i wont be going either :)
