i think that basically what it is, without going in to detail and bringing too much into it

it terms of what you want in image quality is 1080p>720p>1080i>480i

So 720p is actually better than 1080i? You learn something new everyday. ^_^

Can I expect to see a difference if I switch the Sky from 1080i to 720p then?

i prefer to get money as a gift because normal gifts usually just end up dusty in a corner. but i am planning to get a 120hz monitor asap, probably the benq xl2411t or the asus vg248qe. also i should probably move on from my 5 year old phone, it started crashing when i visit sites like twitter and oc3d is just impossible to visit. i might get a steelseries rival, because i can. yea i just bought the sensei raw like 4 months ago, but i'd use it for my laptop at school.

ASUS PB298Q 2560x1080 21:9 Ultrawide 29 inch monitor and a new graphics card to go with it. Still haven't decided if 290, 290X, 780 or 780ti. Depends on budget and prices when the time comes to buy. Also planning to watercool as soon as budget allows, so noise and temperature from AMD cards won't matter when choosing, only performance per cost.

I've delayed my upcoming watercooled 350D project til january as my christmas gift to myself. Saving some money back with my return this year to build an i7-4770K z87 rig. Won't be anything overly spectacular, although pricey, but I will be doing some modding on the 350D in a project log I'll be starting sometime around mid-dec - jan so keep an eye out for it.

Got a second job for the summer through winter back with my old boss painting so I could put back a good bit to go crazy with it hardware-wise.

I'm wanting a 1440p monitor. My 7950 will be able to cope well. Just do not know if worth getting with G-sync coming around... If it as good as people say then may end up holding off and getting that in the near future along with an Nvidia GPU.

Apparently it's the most precise joystick out there. People get confused when I tell them what I use joysticks for, though: Trackmania.

I'm thinking on getting a NZXT Switch 810 so that I can keep my new cards cooler Im finding the 600T isn't disipating the heat quick enough for my liking and I like the way you can direct the airflow with that particular case.

Unless you seriously mod the case you can't water cool in a 600T either so either way I'm up for a new case also the cards aren't reference so the chances are they cannot be water cooled anyway

I'm going to have a look around soon and see if there is anything I fancy, I' am thinking a second 7970 now but I just don't know!

I don't use the PC that much, the only game I've played so far since building it (other than two hours on Rome 2) is BF4, a total of 4-5 hours lol. So I don't want to go crazy when I hardly use it.

If you don't plan to use it there isn't much point unless you're just going for epeen, so maybe just wait and see if there is anything else that you really need and go from there

I'm definitely holding out for G-Sync before I even consider a monitor upgrade. The only annoying thing about it is that you can only experience it in person and let's be honest there are very very few bricks and mortar stores in the UK that carry this kind of hardware

It syncs screen with GPU, so you sort of have a dynamic refresh rate.
