I'm a complete rookie when it comes to audio. For the last few years I've been getting by with a set of these:

Pretty nasty, right? Doesn't help that I have to completely disable the mic or some games give no sound at all. Not much of a problem as most of the time I have little reason to talk, I don't play online, but it does stop me being able to use something like VoiceAttack for Elite Dangerous. All in all they've done me well, but I'm ready to grow up now.
The problem is I don't know where to go. I'd like to stick to wireless as I often stream music from the PC while doing housework etc. I'm guessing that moving to 2.4GHz rather than Bluetooth would be a good move. I don't really want to go full on noise-cancelling cans either as I have to keep something of an ear out for my daughter after she goes to bed. This is something that the over-ear design of the TaoTronics allows me to do.
Anybody got any suggestions? I'm happy to buy a mic separately for the rare occasions I need it. I just want a better audio experience.
Many thanks in advance.
