So i frequently read the posts and reviews here though I'm a new member.

Reason I registered is I wanted expert opinions of the wonderful people here to help me with a purchase.

I'm looking to purchase either the Mushkin Enhanced Callisto Deluxe 60GB: Info here

OR the G.SKILL Phoenix Pro Series 60GB: Info here

Both are the same price, and claim the same read/write speeds... Which is why I'm torn of course.

Both are wonderful brands, but as we are all here to get the most " bang out of our buck ", I'm looking to do the same, and find opinions, or facts on which performs better in actual practice.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Or even a cheaper priced better solution. I'm simply looking for a OS drive, and possibly some other basic apps, which is why I'm looking at the 60GB.

Additionally I found : Corsair Nova 64GB For Less..

Or: Crucial C300 64 GBFor More..

I can swing the Crucial C300 if it's THAT big of a difference, though I'm not currently able to utilized the 6gb/s, only the 3gb/s

Note: I'm not using ANY SSD HD currently, so regardless it's an upgrade.

Ending up going with the Mushkin 60gb, should arrive late this week or monday. Excited to see the performance speed and boot difference.

Male sure you let us know how you get on with it matey.

If your a first time user there's plenty of guys on here who can assist I'm sure.

Must make the leap myself sometime.

Welcome to the forums btw.

As long as you do a full fresh install of windows 7 fella you really dont have to do much else, the OS will do it all automatically for you

I figure I couldnt go wrong with the Mushkin as my choice. I'm going to start fresh, throw my 1.5TB WDG Caviar as a media/storage, then Fresh Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit onto the Mushkin SSD HD.

I was more concerned with making the proper purchase in my range/choices rather than the install, I got that part covered.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I will post updates when it arrives.

I'm sure it will be a huge difference to me since i've yet to experience one.

Double Post** though an update, got my Mushkin SSD HD yesterday, installed and set up easily. I must say I'm quite impressed. If I restart the PC i barely have time to have a quick convo with the girlfriend and windows is up. Really it's truly such a difference, I'm just bummed I didnt get one sooner. In addition, it seems that windows itself seems much happier, and significantly more stable than before. Just better all around, nothing but good to say.
