My TV died yesterday... Two weeks after the Five Year Extended Warranty ran out. FML.

I suppose at least I've got a decent monitor to use as a replacement.

First finals are tomorrow. I'm starting off with my least favourite subject.

I've been pretty calm so far, but the stress is finally kicking in.. FML :(

My 11 year old Daughter has her Sats soon I just tell her to do her best and try not to stress about them.

I had those last year. Strangely I wasn't that stressed and came really unprepared. I walked in late for the first one, and forgot to bring anything for the English exam (borrowed a pen from a friend lmao).

The week before I'd read through the schoolbooks, making sure I understood how to do most maths methods, most geography/ economics terms and a history timeline and such. Probably revised for an hour or 2 a day.

Sat down for the exams and thought "This is it?" on most of them. Basically they are extended tests like you've been taking for the past 5 years. In most cases even a bit more global and they don't go into that much specifics or detail either.

Just make sure you know a little about a lot and you'll be fine. Don't get stuck learning a lot about tiny specific things that might not even make an appearance in the exam :)

PS: Passed all of them and got a 9.6 for the English exam that I didn't do shit for

Oh don't worry, your heart isn't going to fail, is it?

Thanks for the reactions all, just had my first exam, and it wasn't all that bad! Thelosouvlakia, hope yours went well too :)

Now that I'm re-reading the test, I did come across such a stupid mistake I made. It's emberassing too.

There was this question about the 'banencrisis' (which means job crisis). I was kind of in a hurry, so I read 'bananencrisis' (which means banana crisis)...

...

I ended up writing 150+ words on the banana industry. FML

Yeah, I know

When it comes to tests I have a lot of time for (180 minutes for this one), I always tend to really take my time, then realize how much time is left after a while and instantly speed up and sometimes make mistakes like these.

The first 5 questions (out of 28) took me more than 45 minutes :p
