Lolz ^_^

I don't have the funds spare at the moment for that otherwise I would, All my funds for the next 2 1/2 months are going towards spending Christmas and new year in Berlin :)

It's definitely a question i'd ask before sending your decent clocking Fury back to RMA land. If cunning you could do it quite cheaply and expand it later.

True but I really don't have the extra funds to do it even if it was a 50% discount at the moment it would simply be too much.

Having any 980Ti feels?

Not a good day today.

I switched my rig on a few minutes ago and noticed a very strong sort of alcohol smell, Turns out the rad or something on the Fury X is leaking.

I put some white paper towel underneath it and a lot of the fluid was dripping out so I took it out of my rig.

Looks like I got a funky unit but it's under warranty but seeing as OCUK is out of Fury X's probably for the next month or so I am without a GPU for the next month or possibly more :(

Unlucky. Do you have an old card or can you get a loan of one while yours is waiting to be replaced?

my fear of AiO's have been approved again.
This has to be worst case scenario (leaking fluid) but is the failure rate actually any higher than any other component? Or of custom loops? My guess would be failure rates would be around the same. PSU's can blow and cause collateral damage, Capacitors burst on Motherboards. Drives fail. It sucks. It's life.

I have the iGPU of the 4790K, I don't mind waiting a while but RMA for the Fury X is going to take an age due to zero stock levels :(

Ah that sucks. Do you have to go through your retailer or direct to the manufacturer? Might actually be quicker to go direct - are there any reps on the boards that can help with an advanced RMA?

I can't remember which brand you bought I just remember seeing it in the 'post your last purchase' thread a while back! Sucks though if you had a good one and the replacement doesn't clock as well.

I'll be going through the retailer but I still have to wait on stock which is looking to be around a month.

Ah good luck then. Not worth buying an interim card I guess as you'll lose too much on resale if you're needing the money back for Christmas.

This is the kind of situation where I go to my mates and say "You know that last gen GPU you had that I gave you rubbish about? You mind if I borrow it for a couple of weeks?" :)

Sadly no one I know that I'm THAT close to would do that ^_^

According to what was just on the BBC the ISIS psychopaths want to get rid of 500 million Europeans with "Holy fire".

There's something very very wrong with some people.

Got an email from the store I got my Swift from. Day 1 gave me a bright pixel so I arranged with the store to switch the Swift for an Acer Predator as I didn't feel like going for an endless rma cycle. There was no stock though and waiting times wete rather high, but they told me to order one anyway so I could switch them when they restocked.

At last stock arrived but now they're telling me their sales manager disagrees with the 'trade'... They suggest selling my Swift on the second hand market and then buy a Predator from them.. Bloody backstabbers

Not cool at all. Guess I'll just live with the pixel, it doesn't show when gaming luckily, only when browsing bright white coloured websites.

Not going to shop with them anymore either. Thought I'd go for a physical store for customer support but looks like online cs is way better

It's one of the reasons I'm waiting for another company to come out with a good 1440P 144Hz G-Sync display, As much as I like Asus products I always have bad luck with them.

Hopefully BenQ will release the G-Sync version of their XL2730Z :)

while driving my car back from the garage (after having a couple of new tyres repaired) I managed to curb the two tyres that I had just fixed. One of them now has a bulge in the sidewall and I have a curbed alloy :(.

That is gutting :(
I may have a rear puncture after having replaced the front one not long ago and these tyres cost ~£140ea
