My Razer Naga Hex is on its way out. It clicked randomly and fired my gun while playing Insurgency. Its a shame as it feels nice and the software is brilliant.

The question is - How long will a baked 570 survive until it starts artifacting again

I think you should just run things at stock in future Rambo.
I was using stock voltages anyway, but I flashed the stock bios just in case

RamboOC I'm fond of you but a word of advice, STOP TINKERING YOU SUCK AT IT !!! ^_^

I don't think I've ever met someone who's gone through so much hardware by breaking it :p

BTW, that gtx 570 was not my fault, it was a natural death. This card has been running a long time now under the heat and its obvious that the solder was going to fail.

Anyway its fixed now after the reflow

btw i dont suck at thinkering i just go extreme

And by going to the extremes you break it ergo the suckage is strong with you :p

Go for mild overclocks and not extreme, Extreme costs money and you won't see that much of a difference over a good stable safe overclock.

Is it going extreme or is it just being too hard on pretty standard components? I mean a ROG board or Matrix Platinum is built to be raped on a daily basis for a few months until it's too old to make it onto the 3dmark leaderboard. A reference 570 from a few years ago, maybe just deserves a bit of care. IDK lol I never like pushing components into their unhappy region, I can tell when my Striker's memory is getting to the edge of its limits and starting to look a bit stuttery and back it down a few notches. I get the feeling it's at that point where rambo goes hmmm it's still not black screened, RAGE CLOCKS! :D

Only thing i've binned is a Sabertooth P67 by accidentally transporting it upside down and fracturing the solder on one of the PCIe lanes. Had a 570 that just got old and whiney too.

true, I could also pump 1.55v through my i7 To bring it to 4.7 ghz but I'm happy with my 4.5 at 1.23v Extreme is not always the best, only in useless benchmarking scenarios

Exactly, In the long run it just costs you money and it's pretty pointless unless you're an active benchmarker who gets sponsored.

I bought a motherboard but I realised now that it doesn't support my cpu.
Fingers crossed that it's going to boot
